You are welcome.

I’m sure Jim Robinson will like to see it, as he is a United States Navy veteran and served on a destroyer.

I just checked C-SPAN.org for future airings...”2” doesn’t have it listed, and “1” doesn’t have anything listed for most of the day.

Could you ping me if you see it listed for future viewing, and I will reciprocate if I see it first? Thanks.

The retired military person helping with the commentary made a noteworthy comment when he said “...The last officer to take command of this ship before it is decommissioned hasn’t even been born yet”

When it was over, it was announced on air that it would replay at 8 tonite. That would be 5PM real time (Pacific Standard Time)

It doesn't show up on their schedule yet.

CVN-78 will be the first of a new class of carriers, and will be named the USS Gerald R. Ford.

I wish I’d watched it on CSPAN. The FOX reporters wouldn’t SHUT UP

I agree. The FOX coverage was TERRIBLE. The "commentators" blabbered on incessantly when I wanted to hear what was happening AT THE CEREMONY THEY WERE COVERING. JEEEZ! Nonetheless, she's a beauty, with a fine crew. What an excellent addition to our forces.

To be replayed at 8pm eastern tonite on C-SPAN

Good. Thank goodness for my Directv DVR so I can record it and not miss the NFL playoff game.

Enjoyed watching...what a great addition.

And I liked the flight across the ship of the WWII Fighter that President 41 piloted in the Pacific Theater.

My hubby is retired Navy, went through Pensacola OCS in ‘67.He didn’t get to Vietnam, but put in years at the Navy department. The pomp and ceremony was very moving. Thank goodness for C-Span. Talking heads, you just want to shoot them. We won’t see this military stuff as long as the dems are in charge. So glad they got this done while 43 is still in charge and 41 is still with us. They both made missteps, but I appreciate that they led with decency, not scandals. Our 4 year old grandson says that new “big boat” is awesome.

Followup info thanks to the link by OA5599...:

CVN 21 - 21st Century Carrier

**************************EXCERPT*************************

CVN 21 - 21st Century Carrier

The CVN 21 began as the CVX, a new ship class that is the second and long-term part of the Navy's two-track strategy for aircraft carrier recapitalization. The Navy's vision for CVX is to develop a new class of aircraft carriers to significantly reduce total ownership cost and incorporate an architecture for change and flexibility, while maintaining the core capabilities of Naval aviation (high-volume firepower, survivability, sustainability and mobility) for the 21st Century and beyond. Achieving this vision will require significant design changes to incorporate advances in technology and to focus the design on enhanced affordability since little carrier research and development has been undertaken since the 1960's.
