DAVENPORT, Iowa-- Impeachment is no laughing matter, but Illinois politics through the years has been rooted in the absurd. So, we take a closer look at the governor's appearance. And what he can do as he prepares to stand trial.
As a public service we would like to offer the governor a free haircut on us at one of our favorite places, The Spa at Five Star Salon in the Village of East Davenport.
Justice may be blind, but the state senators aren't, so we asked should Rod Blagojevich get his haircut?
At a press conference Friday afternoon Governor Rod Blagojevich responded to the house's vote to impeach, "I am not guilty of any criminal wrong doing."
And a woman doing her best Blagojevich says, "I am not a criminal."
It's hard to take anyone seriously when they're hair looks like Blago's.
Rock Island lawyer, Jack Schwartz says, "You want to look your best in front of a jury or in front of a judge or in front of a jury of his peers, in this case the legislatures in the senate."
Schwartz has defended criminal defendants for 25 years and says if Rod Blagojevich was his client, "I would tell him do something with the hair, anything with the hair."

It’s hard to take any “journalist/reporter” seriously when they don’t know the difference between “they’re” and “their”.
Which is why I give such short shrift to Einstein's work. Incidentally, it's hard to take anyone seriously who renders "their" as "they're."

This is too funny! Thank God a TV station has a fun sense of humor and is treating this guy for what he is, a joke! He should do the right thing and resign before he embarrasses his office any further! Heck, he can even keep his hair that way!

Blago was just practicing for the big leagues. Remember, it was Blago, not Obama, who was “supposed” to be the next presidential candidate from Illinois. You know, a virtual Clinton II: a photogenic young governor with vitality (jogs every day!), jaw-droppingly articulate (speaks in whole sentences! Quotes poetry from memory!) whose Kennedyesque looks and locks might make women swoon (at least in his own mind).

My bet is that Blago’s selection of this term for his hairbrush wasn’t coincidental. His ego is just that big....
But after seeing the likes of Jimmy Carter and WJC take the reigns of power, Blago may be forgiven for thinking to himself: “If those bozos can get to the WH, what’s to stop me from doing so?”
