WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, still smarting over coverage of her vice presidential run, calls the media's reporting on her family "very scary" and says there may be "a class issue" that explains the more sympathetic treatment of Caroline Kennedy.
The Alaska governor also took a swipe at Katie Couric over the CBS interview in which Palin stumbled badly, saying: "Katie, you're not the center of everyone's universe."

“Katie, you’re not the center of everyone’s universe.”
Just for that quote alone, she has my vote in perpetuity.
here, here...
Yeah she's such a whining ditz.../s
Howard, you be busy bowing to Jon Stoooyard with nasty Katie sternly watching down on you.
I prefer Sarah pointing on the pic of Olberman (on Zieglers DVD case), saying “THAT guy is EVIL!”
That's nicer than I call her.
The left already senses that 0 is going to flop huge, and they also know that Palin was the reason that McCain was even competitive in the election. Faced with this, the MSM knows that it absolutely must destroy Palin. It won't happen, but I suspect that we're in for a ton of this chit in the foreseeable future.
I agree. That is an aspect of the election that has not been looked at closely enough.
THAT is one for the ages.....love this woman’s sense of humor.
Does anyone get a tickle of a feeling that Palin is either not 100% truthful or hears people wrong? Now I’m fully aware of the press spin on things but...
Is there a single picture of Palin dressing up as Tina Fey for Halloween? I’d feel better if there were. She’s has said it several times. The thing about the bridge to nowhere wasn’t exactly as she repeatedly said. She says Couric said, “What do you guys do up there?” (her point is understood but it’s in dispute that question was ever asked). And something’s still weird about the clothes....reports that she took them home and said she hadn’t sorted them all out? What really happened in that interview about Africa being a country? This came from republicans. Politicians are liars. Nothing new there. I don’t think she should be continued to be held up like a queen of the republicans - I’m not breaking on her like Peggy Noonan believe me...
I just don’t want her being the symbol of the future only to have an embarrassment later.
Wow... I think we may have a troll here
The hatchet job that the DBM did and is STILL doing on Governor Palin and her family crossed a line.
Had Gov. Palin been African-American and faced the same type of treatment, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have excoriated them for their blatant racism. But, since the governor is a self-made conservative white woman, she was and is considered fair game.
If we are going to stop the march of liberalism, it is only going to happen by conservatives cancelling their subscription to every newspaper and periodical in America. Then, we stop watching the DBM “news” broadcasts and make their ratings plummet more.
Public lynchings such as those performed by the DBM on Gov. Palin cannot be tolerated. We cannot afford to be a voice of silence any longer.
a)Tina Fey dressed up as Palin. In turn Palin said she dresses as Fey. She wouldn't have to dress up actually, since she imitates Fey imitating her. It's a joke on their supposed similarity... No one was suggesting Palin really "dressed up". What would that look like? A scar?
b)She says Couric said, What do you guys do up there?
No. Palin didn't claim that. She said she understood the question that way and responded accordingly. She was never suggesting that Couric asked this exact question.
c)This Africa thing is old debunked crap. That FOX guy Cameron claimed that anonymous McCain staffers told this to him. Palin called them out. All McCain staffers who might have done it denied the charge. It was a bullsh*t rumor to trash Palin. No basis or source. Just like the "Palin dressed in a bathrobe" nonsense.
c)You should spend more time on Freerepublic and less time listening to the lies on the mainstream media... we debunk their crap.
WASHINGTON - Sarah Palin, still
smarting overthe most popular conservative politician after coverage of her vice presidential run, callsaccurately describes the media's heavily biased and manipulated reporting on her family as "very scary" and says there may be "a class issue" that explains the more sympathetic treatment of Caroline Kennedy. The Alaska governor also
took a swipe atexposed the truth about Katie Couric over the CBS interview in which Palinstumbled badlymade a point clearly, saying: "Katie, you're not the center of everyone's universe."
You know there's been some rumors going around FR about you. The way I understand it somebody somewhere said that you said or wrote something that made you look less than informed. I think you mixed up Mars and the moon. Maybe it wasn't you. It could have been somebody doing an impersonation of you. But still, it sure doesn't look good. Or maybe it was something about your kid's trashy behavior. I'd like to believe you're not some idiot troll with an embarrassing family, but the people informing me of these things really have no reason to make anything up. Anyway, could you please document for me how none of this stuff is true so I can feel better about you?
“...charitably says there may be a class issue, instead of directly accusing the media of being a leftist propaganda organ rivalling anything that Goebbels ever did and cheerleading for the Democrat party.”
