Harry Reids shamnesty stand: Senate Bill 9 will tear down the border wall By Michelle Malkin January 8, 2009 11:08 PM
Harry Reid has filed S. 9, the Democrats new shamnesty bill. Not much difference in principle between Reids bill and McCain-Kennedy-Bush. Disingenuous lip service to immigration enforcement? Check. Path to legalization? Check.
There are a few new nuggets most notably, open hostility to the Fence in Name Only on our southern border. Quoting from the bill:
And I believe we would be wise to reconsider the effectiveness and cost of a wall along our southern border, which has adversely affected the fragile environment and vibrant cross-border culture of an entire region. Such a wall stands as a symbol of fear and intolerance. This is not what America is about and we can do better.
Vibrant cross-border culture? Like the hellish, head-chopping, kidnapping and lawlessness striking fear on both sides of the border? Fragile environment? Hes more concerned about some desert plant than he is about the MS-13 gang members and drug runners traipsing across the region.
Thats not all. Also prominently featured in Reids bill:
We must also live up to the goal of family reunification in our immigration policy and join at least 19 other nations that provide immigration equality to same-sex partners of different nationalities.
These are his top immigration concerns? God help us.
Oh, by the way: McCain Hispanic outreach advisor and anti-wall activist Juan Hernandez approves!
Contact your senators NOW!!!
I wonder how many times over the next 4 years we’re gonna have to fight amnesty
We’re screwed and this is just the beginning. Place your clothes and your weapons where you can find them in the dark.
ping!
Probably just once.
Only once. The democrats and RINOs will pass it in spite of you.
The Rats will do anything to stay in power. This is about VOTES and nothing else.
Yup.
I e-mailed both of mine (Cornyn and Hutchison.) I have faith in the former but not the latter.

This is a ping list promoting Immigration Enforcement and Congressional Reform.
If you wish to be added or removed from this ping list, please contact me.
Since I won't be posting until Monday, here's a heads up on this...
democrats and RINOs will pass it
yep, see the Democrat $700 billion dollar bail-out bill
The light bulb went on in my head when Barney Frank made a comment about the bailout which more or less said once they got the first bailout past us citizens, the others would move right along.
It dawned on me then that this is how the Congresscritters operate when their lust for power collides with what the people who elected them think is in the best interest of the country. They just keep re-introducing the same old legislation and wait for us to fall asleep at the switch.
Makes me want to throw something across the room, or, better yet, grab the pitchforks and torches and throw every one of them off the Hill.
Need to just give up and stop postponing the inevitable. The country is all but gone. Let it die then we can start a new one.
Text available at Thomas. Looking pretty empty for now, trial balloon or waiting for 500 to 700 pages of amendments added to it.
We had better start recruiting Hispanics to the GOP FAST or we are doomed.
Here we go. This is going to be the worst political year ever!
“Need to just give up and stop postponing the inevitable. The country is all but gone. Let it die then we can start a new one.”
NEVER. Too many good people have died defending this nation to give up on it. Too many people lost too much founding this nation to give up on it.
Dingy Harry has already rebuilt the place because of us SMELLY citizens. I doubt his Highness would even notice.
I agree, kozanne... it didn't turn out that way in South Africa. Where would we go???
