Nothing wrong with being a dwarf ~ and if dwarf characters can show up in timeless literature, the better.

Technically speaking 4'10" and below defines the size of a dwarf. Remember those old pictures of your great, great grandmothers? Check out how tall they were. Might be an interesting exercise to help your children understand what it's all about.

The movie was called ‘Song of the South’ and I think it was ban from the theater back in the 60’s or 70’s. I don't think you can buy it or rent it. Youtube has a number of clips from the movie.
