NY Times ^ | January 7, 2009 | JEFF ZELENY

President-elect Barack Obama has yet to relent, but he conceded that he might be losing the battle to keep his independent lifeline to the outside world.

“I’m still clinging to my BlackBerry,” Mr. Obama said Wednesday. “They’re going to pry it out of my hands.”

Of all the fights facing Mr. Obama as he prepares for the White House, one of the most maddening for him is the prospect of losing the BlackBerry that has been attached to his belt for years.

In other news, the Secret Service is looking for a smoker to test 0bama’s cigarettes before he smokes them. Also, will the new President change to a different brand of socks. The excitement is palpable.

I’m thinking it’s his “lifeline”.

Can’ be caught without a teleprompter of sorts...

But how will he know what to say, if it’s not texted to him by Soros?

Blackberry = Bill Ayers messages. How will he know what to do if Bill Ayers can not send him messages on his crackberry?

Let him keep his Blackberry. All his emails can then be subpoenaed when the occasion arises. Or hacked.
This guy is a lawyer?

his “blackberry” is an OPSEC/COMSEC nightmare
not that Bambi cares
except for parental love, Bambi has gotten whatever he wanted most of his life. I cannot see him surrendering his internet addiction

It’s not surprising he gets bitter, he clings to his Blackberry or arugula or antipathy toward people who believe in God, or open borders sentiment or pro muslim sentiment as a way to explain his frustrations.

You know by this time after Clinton was elected I was kinda over it. With this guy though I am still DEEPLY troubled in my spirit. It is not what he could do to me that bothers me but what he will do to the country I love.
He is the most unsettling individual I have seen in my lifetime not really because of anything he has done but just from the innate sense of what he will do. It really is a deep spirtual sense that there is just something wrong with this guy.

I’ll bet if they changed the name to “Whiteberry”, he’d give it up in a minute.

Come on now!
The great man deserves a little privacy....
to seek spiritual counsel (from Akmenafufu)
to manage pressing situations (Emanuel in Africa)
to delegate assignments (Plugs on deck)
to respond in a timely manner (Gaza)
and lastly
to maintain transparency
(Damn! I can’t keep power out in HI forever!!
Get that sucker switched before dawn!)

Astounding - a hack that doesn’t understand hacking.

Yeh, thanks to the Times for this riveting news. We know as well that he has sixpack abs. What we don't know is anything he really intends to do. That may be below the Times's radar horizon.

It’s more like his connection to the corrupt political bosses in Chicago. Can’t have his calls to Rezko and Blago going through the White House switchboard.

On Tuesday MSNBC went “In Depth” to cover the first day of school for the Obama girls. “New schools can be so scary!” Thank God the secret service was there.
