After NBC canceled me "for life" on Monday -- until seven or eight hours later when the ban was splashed across the top of The Drudge Report, forcing a red-faced NBC to withdraw the ban -- an NBC insider told The Drudge Report: "We are just not interested in anyone so highly critical of President-elect Obama, right now," explaining that "it's such a downer. It's just not the time, and it's not what our audience wants, either."
 
In point of fact, I'm not particularly critical of Obama in my new book. I'm critical of the media for behaving like a protection racket for Obama rather than the constitutionally protected guardians of our liberty that they claim to be. So I think what the NBC insider meant to say is that NBC is not interested in anyone so highly critical of NBC right now. It's such a downer, it's just not the time, and it's not what their audience wants right now, either.

Don't mistake my criticism as an attack on her beliefs, facts or opinions or an attack on you. She is an excellent writer, but her interviews were much better a decade ago when she wasn't nearly as famous a personality as she is now.

I also appreciate Ann for being a one-woman wrecking crew. But, she is up against people who talk all day every day for a living, while she is a writer. They are better at these interviews and it shows. She has a better command of the facts and her philosophy and belief system are absolutely correct, but weasels like Lauer easily knock her off her game and too often the facts get lost. IF her interview/debate skills were as strong as her writing, I would not have these criticisms.

You can find a lot of people that agree with you though, although most of them post on liberal sites.

You are welcome to your opinions of course, but they don't pan out as very valid.

She has done quite well in her plethora of media appearances these last couple of days.

I didn't take your opinions personally at all.

Your chose to express your negative opinions about this subject so I took the opportunity to clear them.

There is a liberal comparison, so I pointed it out. No attempt at subtly at all.

And there is a difference between mentioning something and the connotation of "letting."

The "welcome" statement was to make sure you didn't think I had any problem with you expressing your thoughts.

It's hard to tell is someone is going to be overly sensitive to a counter opinion.

No moderates here. I want effective and while she does well in book sales for all the right reasons, conservatives have lost the White House, the Senate, the House and are nothing more than caricatures on shows like Lauer's.

And from your statement above, you certainly can't be a conservative.

Conservative didn't lose the White House, they weren't even in the running.

There are only two viable parties that can win Presidential elections and neither one of them supports Conservatives.

So, technically the republicans lost the White House, not the conservatives.

Your using the "emotion card" when ever reasoned discussion comes along makes it easy for you to write people off as a waste of time.

I think peoples skills are important and Ann Coulter certainly is a great writer as you seem to almost say.

But no matter what greatness one rises to if they don't have "personality", it is all for naught.

Ann is highly gifted with personality, second only to her writing.
