What I saw was a cop clearly stand draw his weapon and fire it into a prone unarmed man.
Wow. Just "gangsters"?
As long as we're advocating shooting folks without the benefit of a trial, how about we throw in people who don't re-cycle, or who drive gas guzzlers, or Methodists, or tailgaters, or bald people, or people who live in Boise, or.....
This terrible situation can bring some good by bringing to the public attention that mistaking a sidearm for a taser happens entirely too often. Here are several instances from a quick google search:

Why do you think hunters clearly shoot others during deer season, as in the case I knew of in Maine where a lady hanging up laundry on a cloths line was shot and killed by a deer hunter?

Ask first if there is any possibility that the legal system will protect our lives and property from these savages through “due process.”
The answer is no.
Ask then if we are to accept the presence of these barbarians-within-the-gates in perpetuity.
If your answer is “yes,” you’re part of the problem.
If your answer is “no,” then recommend some method of ridding ourselves of them that has been shown to work.
Did the guy who got shot, have a gun either his own he pulled out or he got one away from one the officers on or around him?
If the answer is a conclusive NO, he was murdered by this cop.

Take a look at post #83, where you will see this mistake is not unique to this instance. It happens. The question is how to prevent it. Claiming it isn’t possible isn’t going to help.
No, you simply enforce the current law without prejudice. To do otherwise is to encourage lawlessness.
I have no problem taking every murderer, drug dealer, rapist, child molester and give them a fair trial, one appeal and turn them into worm food.
