WASHINGTON (CNN)Arizona Senator John McCain is adopting a major 2008 campaign slogan for a new political action committee designed to support not only his own planned re-election run in two years, but help him put his stamp on the rebuilding of the Republican Party.
The formation of the Country First PAC is to be announced Wednesday, two sources familiar with the plans tell CNN.
One of the sources called it the first official step of the GOP Senators re-election campaign. McCain made it clear not long after losing the presidential election that he intended to seek re-election to the Senate in 2010.
The second source said that in addition to supporting his own political ambitions, Country First would be a financial vehicle to help McCain help define the future of the GOP by recruiting candidates and driving the agenda.

Got the e-mail last night asking for money. It was a quick “delete”.
I then signed up for a get-rich scheme by allowing money from a foreign bank to be deposited in my account.

John McCain proved to everyone (even the GOP) that even for conservatives, no one is ready for "his definition" of the GOP!
If the RNC RINOs didn't listen to the results of the '08 election (of course they will still lie to themselves as they usually do)they need to find another "face" to "shape the definition."

Rumor has it that McPain will load all of his PAC members on a jumbo jet and then pilot it into a mountain.

How can you say that? He is (along with all other R's) impotent against the D's who now own the Congress, White House, media, judiciary, higher ed, lower ed, the NLRB, the military, the banks, the security agencies, etc., etc., etc.
If we hear from McCain again, it will simply be as another R talking head on TV. And any R on TV now is just there for appearances, or for fun-making fodder of lib "journalists." The only thing they have left is their minority vote. That and a buck might buy them a cup of joe in the senate dining room.

Furthermore, if he joins the Dems, he simply returns to his role of useful tool of the MSM. Nothing new there.

Amen to that brother. He’s a dead end for anyone who still believes the US Constitution is relevant today.
Like McBipartisan, the GOP is a dead end, too. It’s become simply another arm of the demrat party. There is no viable opposition party in America today. One must be created.

RINOPAC, designed to fight back against the base.
Look John, you are up in years. You won’t have to live under whatever Republican party you try to saddle us with. Let it GO.

Hey McCain...you ran a lousy campaign... Actually, McCain ran a pretty good campaign.
Other factors weighed much more heavily in his loss.

Ironically, I think (hope) McCain will become a prime symbol of the GOP’s past, certainly not its future.

Anyone out there who doesn't think that a more accurate name for McCain's PAC would be "Me First"?
I was thinking a more appropriate name would be "RPAC" for "RINO PAC" or "PAC-o-RINOS" for "Pack of Rinos".

Once he chose Sara Palin I worked overtime on his campaign here in NH and gave him and the cause 125%. Then he foolishly refused to fight against Obamessiah and then went on to basically tell America that Obamessiah was a decent guy qualified to be president and then after the election was over and he lost because of his own mistakes he threw Sarah under the bus regarding her possible future run for president. As far as I am concerned the guy has used up all of his chits. "Putting Country First"... right, he is going to be lock step with Obamessiah and will be his willing puppet to be manipulated in order to get the Republicans to fall in line with Obamessiah's "New World Order".

As I stated on the other thread, McCain thinks by using Sarah’s name that he will get money, sorry Johnny, I am saving my money for 2012 when Sarah Palin runs for President. I lost respect for the schmuck when he threw Sarah under the bus to save his own ass, then went on Letterman and Leno and laughed at her. He is a small man with no values or morals. I will support whoever runs against him
