"Why did we win? Because the NRA is shooting blanks and we won 10 of 11 contested states..."
Whats funny is that the Rats are saying the same thing.
“they have a tactical problem.”
Wait till they start the turn in the guns for cash drive in a neighborhood near you.
They know better than to come get our guns. Instead they will try to control them by passage of the Ammunition Accountabilty Act which we must fight tooth and nail.
That bit of lunacy makes as much sense as enacting a "Currency Accountability Act" to number/serialize x-dollar bills to control their being counterfeited, or used to purchase contraband, drugs, or to engage in criminal enterprise(s). WAIT! Folding money already has identification numbers on it. How's that working?
They finally figured out that guns run on ammunition. I think this is the new strategy. Oregon is talking about taxing miles driven--why? Travel in the SE shut down last summer/fall due to gasoline shortages. Anyone see a pattern emerging here?
It would be. Even over at DU the consensus seems to be to leave guns alone. It's just not worth the political capital to try and force symbolic gun-control legislation.
Although, I've often wondered if these "buy-back" plans wouldn't be a great way to dispose of a murder weapon.
“Instead they will try to control them by passage of the Ammunition Accountabilty Act which we must fight tooth and nail.”
Yeah, but what are the chances in a dem controlled house and senate that will be harder than you think.
The last round of elections were more important than anyone was thinking about.
Particularly because of the SCOTUS appointments to come in the next 8 years.
Those work both ways.

Particularly because most are done as “no questions asked” buy backs.
Particularly because most are done as “no questions asked” buy backs.
And they will not be talking about swords and shields.
I agree. I think that within the next four years, you’ll see a growing number of businesses and individuals who band together under a common banner... tax revolt.
I have no faith in a single level of the government anymore, save the military... and we all know how the armed forces will fare over the next few years. Taxes? I used to overpay every year with quarterly installments. Now, they’ll get what I feel like claiming.
AHSA is not a gun-rights group. It was created by gun-grabbers as a feint, a so-called “gun” group that was all for “common sense” gun control, echoing verbatim the goals of the Brady Bunch, et als. AHSA is a liberal group that poses as a pro-gun organization, while it is, in fact, just the opposite. Don’t be fooled: They believe guns should be tightly regulated, and pretty much support the banning of all guns except shotguns; and they have no problem if even those shotguns must be kept at a police station or armory, with access to them only by request and then only for specific, acceptabloe purposes.
The Democrats learned their lesson on the gun grabbing politics back in the 90’s when they lost both the House and the Senate. Do you remember any talk about gun grabbing in the last election? They know that bringing up the gun grabbing issue would be their end, again. They know that it is the one issue that would awake and unit the RIGHT minded people.
It won't take that long...red
“Something tells me that there will be significantly more than 300 who shout ‘Molon Labe!’ at this Thermopylae.”
That’s a fact.
Yeah, well, I'm not.
And I'm the NRA.
ROFLOLPIMP! My favorite line of the whole idiotic letter!
Fo sho.
“Gloating grabbers” are fine with me. The German High Command gloated in ‘42 when they felt Stalingrad was in their grasp, too.
That's just it: they aren't going to all of a sudden start going door to door confiscating guns. They'll simply continue what they've been doing for decades: make it increasing difficult, time-consuming, and expensive to get "licensed" (tell me again why we need a license for a Constitutional right?), and continually whittling down the number and type of firearms we are allowed to own.
They've already completely gotten away with blatant diregard for the "Shall not be infringed" part.
