Sen. Dianne Feinstein breaks with Democratic colleagues, says Senate should seat Burris

The chairman of the Senate Rules Committee has parted with many of her Democratic colleagues and says that the Senate should seat former Illinois Attorney General Roland Burris.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California said Tuesday that Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, however tainted by corruption charges, has the right to appoint someone to President-elect Barack Obama's former seat. The Rules Committee decides whether Burris is qualified to serve.

I think it is called survival. She will need black voters in California to keep her job once the Hispanic lobby is emboldened enough to run one of their own. I've always thought she was brighter than Boxer. But, then, so is a box of rocks.

If she runs I hope her opponent will rerun her ‘apology’ to the Chinese for our surveillance plane running into their little jet. That was an appalling situation. She apologized for our nation so as not to aggravate the chinese with whom her husband had many business dealings.
