The campaign was conceived by Ariane Sherine, a comedy writer who dreamed of just one bus going around London with an atheist slogan after she saw a similar advertisement for Christianity on the back of a bus.

We are not even permitted to point out that muslims do NOT believe in the same God as Jews and Christians.
Our world lost its collective mind on 9-11-2001.
Read the ad.
He is trying to excuse/rationalize self-centered behavior because of a lack of omniscient being who may or may not punish “enjoyable” behavior. The fact that he generalizes God (which includes the gamut from strict fundamentalists of every stripe to the Universalist Unitarian church) indicates that he doesn't give a whit for what you state.
He could just as easily have ran an ad that said: “Relax. There probably is no God. But go ahead and follow the teachings of Jesus anyway” or “so go ahead and practice self-restraint for the good of others” or “but continue to give to charity because it is good for them and good for you.”
He only wants to deny any type of omniscience that may have an expectation of His creation.
It is silly. He is silly. And he is defeating his own contention.
So much better for those with a God complex to deny He exists and then to step in and fill that void themselves.
Richard Dawkins irritates the pee out of me.
So what if you don’t believe in God? Why do you make it your campaign to make sure other people don’t either?
And these morons who claim “I don’t want a God that creates ‘religion’” don’t realize they have THE VERY SAME KIND OF RELIGION. Dogma is dogma.
Whoa! That's a great idea!
Someone should fund that one ... but I wouldn't want to be the one driving THAT bus around.
Which I'm sure is why they used the word God instead of Allah (or both) in the bus ads. They are cowards.
We're not?
But you just did...evidently it is allowed.
The BBC photo doesn’t include the Stalin picture.
I wonder if he could get away with a sign that said THERE ARE NO UFO’S?
One's own conscience can lead one astray. It's important to use our intelligence and the tools that God has given us.
If you need to err on one side of the other (of your ‘blind-faith’ argument) isn't it better to live according to a philosophy that says do not harm others and do what you can to help them?
How about: there IS a God now go enjoy yourself.
But beware of the spaghetti monster!
If you don't know GOD, don't make stupid remarks!!!! A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.
One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.
One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, 'God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 min.' The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.
Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am God. I'm still waiting.'
It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.
The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What the heck is the matter with you? Why did you do that?' The Marine calmly replied, 'God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So, He sent me.'
Don't know if the above story is true or not .... but I love a story with a happy ending.
How many hospitals have atheists ever built and served in?
How much compassion do these Godophobes genuinely portray?
Could there be any connection?
Help get others to ask questions like that....
Notice that Christianity is the primary, if not indeed the only, target of the atheists and their ilk?
It’s because Christianity is the only threat to Satan.
This was the article that started the whole thing:
Atheists gimme fiveSince when is it OK to spread the fear of God from the side of a bus? Let’s get together and distribute reassurance

Yesterday I walked to work and saw not one, but two London buses with the question: “When the son of man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:8). It seems you wait ages for a bus with an unsettling Bible quote, then two come along at once.
The errant capital letters weren’t the only disturbing thing about this (Faith Hill or Faith Evans?). There was also a web address on the ad, and when I visited the site, hoping for a straight answer to their rather pressing question, I received the following warning for anyone who doesn’t “accept the word of Jesus on the cross”: “You will be condemned to everlasting separation from God and then you spend all eternity in torment in hell. Jesus spoke about this as a lake of fire which was prepared for the devil and all his angels (demonic spirits)” (Matthew 25:41). Lots to look forward to, then...

You be “faithful to your conscience”... because it’s FOREVER, dude.
2) Committing assault & battery on someone to the point that they're unconscious because you don't like their religious viewpoint is a "happy ending"?
Our nation’s president begs to differ and his voice carries farther than mine. The media won’t pick up on what I’ve stated on FR today.
