Connecticut To Consider Transgender Anti-Discrimination Proposal
Hartford Courant ^
Posted on 01/06/2009 8:16:15 AM PST by Blue Turtle
Transgender activists believe this is the year they will gain equal protection under the state's anti-discrimination laws.
"We feel good," said Jerimarie Liesegang, who leads the Connecticut TransAdvocacy Coalition. "We've done the groundwork, we've done the education and we know we have the votes."
A proposal, to be introduced in the legislative session that begins Wednesday, would prevent people who in any way blur gender lines from being discriminated against in the workplace or while seeking housing or obtaining credit. More than a dozen states, including California, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Oregon and Rhode Island, have enacted similar laws.

CT was once a bastion for conservatism. How citizens allowed this country to go down the tubes so far is beyond me! Stop the Insanity INDEED!
I am so sick and tired of this govt legislated divorce from reality, I want to scream!

I share your shame!! I cannot wait to get the heck out of this whole area. Until recently I have felt reluctant to “let them have” the entire northesat. I felt that this is part of America, and why should we “let them have” ANY of it. I still feel that way, but I cannot stomach this non reality they would have us live in much longer.
Things have gotten so bad, the environment in the NE so toxic, it is no longer pleasant to go anywhere. People, no matter where you travel are rude, no one talks to anyone, afraid of offending I suppose. You can't go out to enjoy dinner without being faced with offense of some degenerate kind that ruins the entire night. How on earth govt. can justify these irrational laws is akin to something off a horror show! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE??

I don't imagine it will shock them much, a lot of the rich elites in CT practice the homosexual lifestyle, how much worse can they think trannies are? It's trendy don't ya know......

No taildragger, it is THEIR reality. And their reality is a divorce from reality, no matter how many laws they create to say otherwise.

Freedom of Association is in the first Amendment. I say we use it, NOW or lose it! As with every other Freedom we enjoy. Had we been doing that all along, and suing when they are denied, maybe we wouldn't be losing them now.

You are probably right - very sad - when I grew up in CT it was more stuck-up snobbish types that were idealists because they had money to be but they were against anyone who was different or not in the clique.

That's what I hear y, me? I am planning to move to KY, I have family there, and I love the area. Such a drastic change from the perverted NE. This is NOT the CT I was born and raised in.

Oh I know. I grew up in a very rich town, not fitting in at all being from a relatively poor family. And we used to play “spot the New Yorkers” on the town square. It was so easy to do.

Yeah. The are still guys and pee all over the seats. Well they are new to Hovering. Maybe if they had those paper seat things, nobody would need to hover and the seats would be clean. p.s. If you encounter some guy in a dress standing to pee, RUN. No trannie is going to stand.
