So Levi’s father used some pull to get his son a job at the North Slope. Gee, I guess this has never happened before in the history of Alaska, America, let alone the world. Levi and his father are now joint public enemies number 1. Forget about the Chicago connection: according to the MSM it’s just normal as it is normal for Biden to be an idiot and now VP.
Let’s see Levi Johnston, who has a father in this business and who has been around this kind of work all of his life, is forced out by libs who are concerned that he has met the qualifications for the job.
OTOH, we have Caroline Kennedy, who had a father who was POTUS and who has been around politics all of her life, but has zero qualifications to be a U.S. Senator.
Whose lack of qualifications would have the most impact on the citizenry, and whose success on the job is less likely to be affected by a lack of knowledge in language, history, law, our founding documents, etc.?
Certainly could be...there are always rules and regulations when taking government money.
It really depends on your state as to the difficulty and the rules associated with taking this test. In Ohio, you have to send in your paperwork...wait,wait. Then I think there are some mandated classes (cost money-no surprise).

I agree with what you say. If it’s mandated then he needs to do it. I still think high school needs some real reform. Since I am a GM gypsy, my kids have been in three different schools in three years. The schools in Georgia were awful-over 50% drop out rate in nice areas. Wisconsin has a really great High School. Ohio is also very good in terms of academics. My kids hate it-it’s no fund being the new kid in high school. My daughters want to go to a four year school and will. I have no doubt. My middle daughter wants to get some college money while serving her country. She has always been a hard worker as has my youngest daughter. My son who is probably the most gifted in terms of testing etc., has never worked up to his potential. I’m hoping the service will give me some time to decide on his future and some self-discipline.
Congratulations on your children. I can tell they make you proud. It’s not easy to raise kids these days. You have done well.

My Mothers dad only went through to about the 9th or 10th grade and I posit he could still hand most college educated mechanical engineers their asses to this day (he was born in 1912). He went into apprenticeship programs and became a Millwright [sp?] later moving into power plant and heavy industrial work. Later jobs included doing stuff like insuring correct tolerances on multi ton rotor installations into power house turbines.
We got a good laugh a year or so back when a rep from his union called up and requested a letter documenting that he was still alive, they couldn’t believe they’d had a genuine pensioner on the books for approaching 40 years.
I hope the kid still goes to college. It’s critically important to have a degree for when they outsource your job to a slave labor market.

Thanks-he’s a good kid, but kind of lost. I feel bad because I know moving him has not helped. You are so lucky to have your Dad. I miss mine everyday. He was from Ireland and had a sixth grade education. He supported a wife and four kids. He was self educated. There was little this man could not figure out. He was able to help me with higher math in fact.
He owned a bar-The Turtle Lounge- in the Bronx and later worked security- could not stand being retired.
Watch for more stories about the Johnston’s. Obama and the MSM could not find any dirt on Sarah and her immediate family after months of going through dumpsters so now they are looking for Sarah’s ‘Achilles’ heel’-the Johnstons. Pretty soon the Johnston family will be more famous than Brad and Angelie or Tom and Katie and as infamous as the Osbournes and made out to be the epitome of trailer trash that fits hand in glove with being a part of a family (Palin) that does not bow down to Obama. Not only does the MSM want to marginalize Sarah from the GOP and the American voters, it also wants to marginalize Sarah from her own family and her closest friends. This is all out war. Get used to this my friends. This is only the first skirmish of the year. This round goes to Obama. If Sarah wants to throw in the towel she should indicate that soon. If not, then she better hire some people who understand ‘politics in the raw’ to help her win some of the future rounds. This is a fight to the finish. Obama and the MSM have unlimited resources. They are out to destroy Sarah. If this was Nazi Germany or Stalinist Russia she would be in a concentration camp right now as I write this.
