Three years after being evacuated from settlements in the Gaza Strip, some of the evacuees are now returning - in uniform.
Aharon Cruz, a paratroops officer, lived in Netzarim for two years before the disengagement. On Sunday, he and his unit, to which he had been recalled a mere day after his wedding last Thursday, were back at the settlement's ruins in central Gaza.
"On one hand, there's a feeling of 'what did we leave for?'" said his father, Rabbi Ze'ev Cruz. "On the other hand, there's joy that he is returning to a place he knows."
The ground operation has aroused strong feelings among the evacuees. Some see it as a first step toward returning to their former homes. But most simply want to shout "we told you so!" And the feelings are intensified among those who have sons serving in Gaza.
"It's a very difficult feeling," said Ami Shaked, former chief security officer of the Gush Katif settlement bloc, whose son is a paratrooper. "This is the first war in which my son is defending me instead of me, him."
But beyond that, "everything we said then has come true. What is happening today reopens the wounds. The thought arises that perhaps we shouldn't have given in; perhaps we should have been more insistent, ratcheted up the struggle another notch. But that's history."

Let Israel not falter in it's defense. The increasing criticism of Israel does not prove that Israel is wrong, but that the world's mob wants them dead. These are not people who are interested in right, wrong that is justice, but rather they are governed by their hatred. They only prove the absolute necessity that the Jews have their own state.
God's Promise to Israel-
Ezekiel 34:12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep [that are] scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day.
13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country.
14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and [in] a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel.
15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD.
16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up [that which was] broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
They want western capitalism dead. Israel is the embodiment of western capitalism. It is an economic system they cannot deal with. It is interesting how the world press takes up their cause. Is it because they are also against western capitalism? That is, are those who are pulling the strings in the western media, the same ones who are shooting missles off from the Gaza? Money is power. Oil money has a sort of horsepower built into it.

Don’t forget that the same people who seek the destruction of Israel also have no love for believers in God through faith in Christ. Economics are merely a method of administration of force and in time, the management of power.
The volition to rebel against legitimate authority underlies the motive of those who oppose Israel. Until they can redirect their volition towards righteousness and justice by God’s standards, they will seek another counterfeit.
