(Excerpt) Read more at haaretz.com ...
I’ll post any updates I have in this thread.
How can we make an “offical” or “Live “ thread on the Gaza situation.?

Thank you so much for your posting!
ISRAEL IS A DIVINE INHERITANCE!
If people would read the Old Testament, they would know.
IDF wary of Hizbullah attacks in North
On Saturday, Saeed Jalili, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, arrived in Syria to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip. According to media reports, Jalili said Iran and Hizbullah had reached an agreement under which the Lebanese group would launch rockets into Israel if the IDF began a ground operation in Gaza.

How can we make this a “Live or Official “ thread? I don’t know how that is done.
Not good....
Israel taking action prior to the unpredictable Obama White House gaining power on January 20th, is also a major factor in defeating Hamas -- now!
Iranian supported Hamas terrorizing street thugs must be crushed once and for all. Israels Right to Defense will be victorious!
Israel is closely monitoring her northern border in case Iranian armed Hezballah is ordered by Tehran to open up a second terrorist front against Israel.
ditto ur prayer
Thanks. Are you over there?
Love your screen site on Freep, er, home page..whatever..great pics!
Nope, just monitoring!

Dear Mod...
Could you please add the phrase (LIVE THREAD) to the title/headline of this thread, and, if you’re really feeling generous, find a place for it on the sidebar??
Thanks
Hamas moves on Fatah ‘collaborators’
The Hamas government has placed dozens of Fatah members under house arrest out of fear that they might exploit the current IDF operation to regain control of the Gaza Strip
The move came amid reports that the Fatah leadership in the West Bank has instructed its followers to be ready to assume power over the Gaza Strip when and if Israel’s military operation results in the removal of Hamas rule.
Fatah officials in Ramallah told The Jerusalem Post that Hamas militiamen had been assaulting many Fatah activists since the beginning of the operation last Saturday. They said at least 75 activists were shot in the legs while others had their hands broken.
Wisam Abu Jalhoum, a Fatah activist from the Jabalya refugee camp, was shot in the legs by Hamas militiamen for allegedly expressing joy over the IDF air strikes on Hamas targets.

“... palestinian fighters detonated a 50 kilogram bomb as Israeli forces crossed into the Gaza Strip.
Gee, a 110 lb dinger. Wow, I bet that hurt! That’s a poof amongst the pows.
Israel fears Hizbollah, the Shia militant group from Lebanon, could seek to open up a new front by firing rockets and staging attacks across Israel's northern border.

If my memory is correct..Hezballah fired most of their missles during the day in 2006....I winder if they will start when the sun comes up or are they all talk?
It’s up to Iran. I could foresee something like this happening : Hezbollah rockets are given to Palestinians groups in South Lebanon to fire on Israel. Hezbollah can come out and deny they launched the rockets. Israel will respond by hitting Hezbollah targets. Hezbollah will respond with waves of attacks from it’s own forces. Israel at that stage might do what it has threatened to do - hit back at targets witin Syria, not just Lebanon. Syria, perhaps with direct Iranian assistance, would then retaliate... Now youre getting into regional war territory and all bets are off.
On the lighter side - this joke explains all you need to know about
Israeli-Palestinian politics. It was sent to me by a friend.
What happens when a fly falls into a coffee cup?
The Italian - throws the cup, breaks it, and walks away in a fit
of rage.
The German - carefully washes the cup, sterilizes it and makes a
new cup of coffee. The Frenchman - takes out the fly, and drinks the
coffee.
The Chinese - eats the fly and throws away the coffee.
The Russian - Drinks the coffee with the fly, since it was extra
with no charge.
The Israeli - sells the coffee to the Frenchman, the fly to the
Chinese, makes a cup of tea for himself and uses the extra money to
invent a device that prevents flies from falling into cups.
The Palestinian - blames the Israeli for the fly falling in his
coffee, protests the act of aggression to the UN, takes a loan from the
European Union to buy a new cup of coffee, uses the money to purchase
explosives and then blows up the coffee house where the Italian, the
Frenchman, the Chinese, the German and the Russian are all trying to explain to the Israeli that he should give away his cup of tea to the Palestinian.
