I am on an email list of Joe Firmage, a leftist dot com guy who sold out before that crash. He is a save the Earth type and the email touts a new web host site for leftist activism. Anyone can put up a page, so how about some of you conservative web techs using it for real good?
Here is what Joe writes:
"I am asking you to join and share a new Internet platform and the power it represents with communities around the world. In the right hands, I believe it can catalyze a large ripple effect across our planet. Why? 1. Because it levels the playing field between those with knowledge and passion and those with money. 2. Because it closes the gap between the middle-man and real-life experts and artists, versus the simple act of publishing "content" on the Internet. Let's consider a vision of a future Web, and what it may offer to us all. So let us go there, to 2010, just a few years from now, and imagine what might be...

Imagine a Web 3.0 medium, distinguished by its *truly* public ownership, where the entire ecosystem within it can help build it, and the best of the builders are actually paid... Click on "Watch the Video" ... and then just hover over the navigation system at the left, what we call "UniNav"... a new table of contents to the Web never to be governed by commercial interests, rather by experts. Perhaps you might be one of them:"

the dims play games better that we conservatives. example:msm, and politics. they are heartless, so be very careful. they will turn it around on you and win.
Before Joe was a Marxist, he was a *huge* UFO / Alien disclosure advocate, so I suggest we all work that angle in when commenting.

Joe Firmage is a nut, but Democrats are much better in the use of Internet and “new” media when it comes to practical political applciations - meetups, social networks,
flashmob / webmob, organizing, fundraising (including illegal) etc.
Conservatives / Republicans are mostly using Internet like a radio and Post Office, e.g. GOP Web and recent McCain’s and other Republicans’ campaigns. We have long way to go to match liberal Democrats in use of Internet, and need to learn from them and adapt what we can to our demographics. And do it fast.
Zero effectively unified the malcontents with the left with the socialists with the anti-everythings.
There was a willing populace of unions with money and a planet (literally!) eager to shower money on the destruction of The united states of America.
The only one that came close to really bringing us together was Sarah, and even McLame wouldn't allow her to cut loose.
It's all so damned frustrating.

Exactly, the left creamed us on the Internet + fund raising in the Omama debacle. The right needs to get with using the Internet or we lose a valuable tool. Free Republic is a wonderful site, but talks to the choir. The right needs a number of interesting sites with graphics and video to hook the new voters, yet teach them government is a bad mama. It will cost money and talent to do it. The pay back may be the saving of America.
