WASHINGTON -- Nine Muslim passengers removed from a flight from Washington to Florida after other passengers reported hearing a suspicious remark about airplane security.
AirTran Airways spokesman Tad Hutcheson called the incident on the New Year's Day flight from Reagan National Airport to Orlando, Fla., a misunderstanding, but defended the company's response. He said the airline followed federal rules and did nothing wrong.

If the airline officials hadn’t removed them, I sure as shootin’ would have gotten off that plane myself.
Here we go again...
What do you suggest, a “decency police?” Maybe armed with sticks?
This was all over the DC-area radio stations this morning. Curious that the ONLY remarks being broadcast are those made by the Muslim father...
I’ve said very similar things on planes, myself.
And been promptly arrested for upsetting the Muslims on the flight. )-:
Rational.

Glocks would be better. Airlines have the right to refuse to allow someone to board. They do it frequently with drunks and people not decently attired. If these people don’t like it they can vote with their almighty dollar and go to another airline. If the airline sees that a particular person or people are going to cause disruption for the rest of the passengers on the flight, it is perfectly ok for them to tell that person they cannot board.
..enough lawsuits (like the one suggested) and our airlines will look the other way & have deaf ears.
I think AirTran needs my business, whaty’all think?
Hey, I’m with the airline on this one . . . I just find the image presented rather humorous. Even in your case: make an ill-advised comment on an airliner? Everyone just start blasting away with Glocks.
Deport anyone that covers their head with a rag!
I doubt they realize the reason we have more stringent airline security these days is because of their muslim brothers.
As have I, especially when sitting by the engines or an emergency exit. Even if the airlines did everything right, they should have let them back on another flight once things were cleared up. But now, they can buy any ticket and fly anywhere. I’d think a couple of free flight vouchers might go well in that area.

I'd like to hear what the non-muslim passengers say they heard the muslim passengers say instead of relying on the comments of just one muslim.

Glocks are good....... ;-)
Deport all muzzies.
OK folks, it’s really simple:
IF you look like the people that hijacked planes on 9/11/01, you should not do ANYTHING that could arouse suspicion on an airliner. NO discussions of airplanes, airlines, security, bombs, etc. It is also a good idea to refrain from speaking anything OTHER than English whilst aboard a US-flagged airplane.
These days, you only get one chance. These sheet-heads are fortunate that the passengers didn’t jerk them out of their seats, beat the hell out of them, and toss them bodily off the plane themselves.
Apparently the airline would rather risk a lawsuit by this family than a class action lawsuit by the passengers’ families.
” One of the passengers removed, Abdur Razack Aziz, said he will consider a lawsuit.”
