When morons like Sean Penn, Matt Damon, and Ben Afleck are making $20 million for 6 months of work, then indeed, the market needs to correct itself and flick those fleas to the curb.

Why not make a movie about Obama?

Bush and the Republicans screw up everything in the world, and then Obama the Magic... I mean, Obama comes and gets elected and reverses global warming and gives money to all the downtrodden of the world which is, after all, what they really need.

Oprah could finance it. No downside!

How about creating entertaining movies rather than left wing propaganda drivel.

We created a drinking game where we watch these movies and drink everytime there is a ‘hidden’ liberal message. On New Years Eve we rented 4 movies and were blastered half-way through the 2nd one!!!!!

Industry executives contend that the steep downturn will force Hollywood to fundamentally change the way it does business.

Do they mean by not producing crappy movies w/ crappy actors?

When woll Hollywood ask for a bailout? Are they “too big to fail”?

Hollywood purged itself of it's greatest Conservative minds who are the reason it advanced to it's highest level.

It was Conservative principles that fostered and maintained American morale. When that began to deteriorate, America started it's slide into the septic tank.

With all moral and Conservative guidance gone and with the current leadership in place, they will go deeper into the abyss. They now reap what they have sown.

And their movies are complete worthless trash. No wonder.

Here’s another thought: quit making crappy remakes of films that don’t need to be remade. It’s bad enough that they’re remaking them to begin with, but they feel the need to add their PC leftist twist to the plots. Personally, I’ll stick with the originals.

I have not watched ABC, NBC or CBS or been to a movie in years. Why...because they do not produce what I enjoy watching. The entertainment industry is the only industry that does not seem to understand that they have to produce what people want to buy in order to be profitable.

I remember an interview with Clint Eastwood where he actually said something like..many of his pictures did not make money but that was okay because he made movies “he” enjoyed and liked to make.

May the Hollywood liberals take “big hits” in their pocketbooks this year.

They gave away their money to Democrats last year and hopefully lost some to Bernie Madoff, too.

May they keep on losing in 2009.

While most movies done in 2008 were pure crap, there were some gems.

I absolutely loved WALL-E. My family and I bought the DVD as soon as it came out, and my little boy watches it every day. I have enjoyed everything that PIXAR has made (although I have not seen Ratatouille or Meet the Robinsons.) Pixar's productions present a good message to the kids (the folly of being superficial, humility, good triumphing over evil, admitting when one is wrong, standing to one's principles, and overcoming adversity by making an honest effort instead of making excuses).

Not everything that comes from England leads the way. The latest James Bond flick is a piece of PC, America-hating sh*t.

Overall, the death of Hollywood would not break my heart at all. But save the good eggs before throwing out the bad.

Two suggestions for them:

1. Make movies people actually would want to see, not “films”

2. Have the theaters hire people that can keep the projector in focus

Marty Kaplan-Director of the Annenburg School of Communication:”if your still spending $100mill on pictures that have little chance of being hits, your in a business that is inherently nuts.”I agree.I enjoy war movies and westerns, but why would i pay good money to watch a movie where american military personell are portrayed as sadistic killers and the terrorists are victims?Or how bout a “cowboy” movie where the main characters are homosexuals? Why does hwood crank out movies(money losers)no one wants to see?I come up with two possibilities:1)if H-wood inundates us with anti-american films long enough we’ll eventually buy into their anti-US propaganda or 2)the directors,producers,actors,etc,etc,... sincerely believe their movies are an honest portrayal of reality.

Standard story line of the modern movie:

Bedroom scene (no one over 30 years old)
An other than Straight encounter (I do not use the “g” word)
Multiple murders (lots of blood)
Car chase with lots of stupid Cop crashes
Funeral in the rain
Lots of trash talk (be sure to use the “f” word much
Hostage taking
You get my point.

Hollywood has so little talent the only people holding up Hollywood are teenage boys ( yeah they’ll buy sex) and overseas monsters who feed on violence. Maybe 10 more awards shows will keep them from noticing.

I can just smell something like this coming. The liberal media print will cease to exist. Then, there will be a crisis so compelling that even liberals will be shocked. And then, they will complain that they were prevented from doing their public watchdog duties because the they went bankrupt.
