As others have stated, there is just no need to do it this way. A couple of grams of cocaine, or a pound of pot is NOT a life and death emergency.

Much safer to arrest the suspect outside of the home and then search the home. If a few get away, too bad, there will be other chances to get them.

The no knock tactic gets people killed.

Funny thing that cops did precisely what I described for the entire history of our Republic up until the onset of the "War on Drugs". Are today's cops any less courageous??? Or were yesterday's cops just foolish.

What decent men would that be? The ones who sought the job of kicking down doors in the middle of the night and shooting anyone or anything that gets in their way? Just the job that decent men everwhere aspire to. Much as you might hate the idea of citizens having rights, those rights exist, and all of the unconstitutional BS of the war on___ (fill in the blank) doesn't abgrogate those rights because as some dead white American said "rights come from God - not government."
