I hate teh problems of no-knocks, but I also hate the idea of asking decent men to give up an element of surprise and volunteer to be a target.

What decent men would that be? The ones who sought the job of kicking down doors in the middle of the night and shooting anyone or anything that gets in their way? Just the job that decent men everwhere aspire to. Much as you might hate the idea of citizens having rights, those rights exist, and all of the unconstitutional BS of the war on___ (fill in the blank) doesn't abgrogate those rights because as some dead white American said "rights come from God - not government."
