Hello Jim,
My name is Gail Cook and I am Moonman's wife. Moon passed away on Saturday morning after a long illness with Cancer. He loved this site, he loved being a Freeper. I noticed that he made a comment the day before he died, and it made me cry. Is there a way you can let the members know that Moon is now with the Lord in his new heavenly home? He was 58 years young, married for 32 years, was a loving husband and father to two children a daughter Kelly and his son, Justin. Also two little grandson's. He loved this country, and was an amazing American.
Thanks Jim for considering my request.
Mrs. Moon Cook
Moonman is another that was a particularly disturbing loss. Each of us, and the country, are a little less today with his passing.
I’m so sorry to hear about Moonman, Gail. You and your whole family will be in my prayers.
Us Florida FReepers spent many a FReep with Moonman. He was a fine man and we will greatly miss him.
The last time I saw Moonman was at one of our FReeps protesting Gore/Lieberman down on International Drive. I’m sure I have some of the pictures somewhere that I took that day both outside along I-Drive and inside the restaurant we all went to after the FReep.
I’m pinging some of the other FReepers who were there that day, and others who knew him from other FReeps, too. Some of them may also have pictures of Moonman out there with the rest of us.
There may even be “after-action” threads with pictures that some of us started when we got home. Links to them and some pictures would be great “memorial” additions to this thread if we can find them.
My prayers, and best wishes for you & your family.
McMuffin might have pictures from that day.
He was standing out there with the rest of us....I was standing right next to him!
I’m going to look for my pictures from that day as soon as I get time.

It was December 1999....
I’m so sorry. Prayers for all who loved him.
I was afraid it was our Florida Freeper Friend.
I remember Moonman.
God Bless him, and his family.
RIP Moonman.
Prayers to Gail and all his family and friends.
58 - too young - and a loving family man. May God watch over him and give him comfort - heaven’s got a lot of our young freepers... And love to his wife and family. Moonman will be missed.
God have Mercy on his soul and give Peace to those he leaves.
Rest in Peace

Well then the Heaven's chapter will welcome him with open arms. Moonman, we were only a year apart in age. We will meet again sometime .
May God keep Moonman in his tender loving care.
My sincerest prayers for Gail and family.
Prayers up for family and friends.
He will be well remembered by us all.
Prayers for the family.......................
