Police Protection is an oxymoron. Free citizens must protect themselves. Police do not protect you from crime, they usually just investigate the crime after it happens and then call someone in to clean up the mess.

Well the way I see it, cONGRESS could put a $1 a day “fee” on people that want to be armed in the park. The money would be used to promote ah....gun safety (wink wink) There would never be another thought by them on a ban since they have never met a tax payer dollar that they didn’t drool over.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent that has done nothing but promote Gun Violence has sued the Interior Department to stop it from eliminating a 25-year-old federal rule restricting loaded guns in law abiding citizens in their attempt to lawfully protect themselves from harm in national parks.

I’d be all for hanging those that would attempt to undermine our constitution at this point. They are simple traitors, and should be treated as such. We will be facing enough problems this coming year without having to tolerate this crap

Correct me if I'm wrong, but according to federal law you can carry
a firearm if you're a licensed fisherman going to, or coming from
where you plan to fish. It's the law I use to trump California's restrictions
on firearms. We also have a gold claim though, so that's a double trump.

Some years ago I made a trip to Fishlake National Forest in Utah on my motorcycle. I used to enjoy solo getaways. One afternoon while I was wandering around, a Ford Bronco approached and a Park Ranger got out. After exchanging some small talk, he asked if I was armed. I showed him my Ruger Super Blackhawk. He said that was good, because it's not safe out here after dark. I told him I had a room at the Fish Lake Lodge and thanked him for his concern. He repeated that he was happy to see that I came prepared.
