Holland Township, MI An illegal immigrant who struck and killed a motorcyclist in a July crash in Holland Township pleaded guilty to negligent homicide Monday, Dec. 29, in Ottawa County Circuit Court.
Rodrigo Delacruz-Encarnacion, 25, could face a maximum two-year sentence for the charge. He will be sentenced Jan. 26.
William OBrien, 52, died at the scene when a southbound van driven by Delacruz-Encarnacion turned left into his path as OBrien drove north on Butternut Drive on July 23.
Police said Delacruz-Encarnacion is an illegal immigrant who had found employment at a local blueberry farm and had come to Michigan from Florida about two weeks prior to the crash.
Court documents showed he was from Mexico, where his wife and two children were still residing before the crash.
A hold had been placed on deportation for Delacruz-Encarnacion while he awaited trial and sentencing.

WOW, they hold an illegal immigrant for killing a motorcyclist, but they will let a former governor Jankow go for killing a motorcyclist.

I remember when this happened, because two days later my neighbor was nearly killed while on his motorcycle. Idiot that hit him was perfectly legal, though--just an idiot.
What’s up with the zot? What am I missing?
Illegal Alien or no, you get off with two years for killing a member of my family and I’m waiting for you at the gate the day you get out......
