Ok, I'll admit, I'm up late. At 4:00 ABC's World News Now ran their headlines.
First teaser: A flyover view of midtown Manhattan leading into Times Square. Focus on the video board above the US military recruiting station. A heads-up display appears and an explosion takes place over Times Square. Voice over says,"Mideast Attacks; Israel Pounds Gaza Two Days In a Row..." Then the scene shifts to Gaza.
OK, here's the deal. I'm not crazy. It may be sloppy editing. But I have this on an HDTV, along with a DVR that I've been running back and forth looking at this piece to make sure I'm not ...crazy.
The word "subliminal" comes to mind, and it would be easily pulled off with a 480p TV (still the vast majority.)
Right. Now I'm ready for the ridicule ;-)
Why don’t you shoot them off an email and let the network explain to you about that display?
It may have been a New Year’s Eve fireworks display on the screen and it then switched to Gaza, but I don’t know...I don’t have the TV on and I don’t watch that network.
Did the e-mail thing. No way this was a fireworks diplay. Especially not with the aircraft heads-up display. The image was transposed over the Times Square flyover.
Now, like I said, it may simply be an issue of editing. On the other hand...
OK, here’s your answer.
I went to their web site and they have a top story slide show.
Here’s this one:

Here’s the one that comes right after it:

What I saw was the superimposition of the Gaza story over an aerial flyover of NYC. It may have been totally innocent. It also may be subliminal.
If you're in Gaza, and getting your ass kicked by a seriously pissed Israel, and you're still firing back, would you expect sympathy? Well ABC is giving it to them.
Thanks. I may still be sane after all.
I think that's true of NBC overall, since Brokaw and Williams called out Chrissy and Oberfuhrer.
Probly a Muzzie editor.
In NYC, it also could be a random college grad. The MSM’s agenda is so in your face that they have no shame.
Did you have your tinfoil hat on backwards?
“Saying that Hamas launched only 8 rockets into Israel overnight”
How many qualifies as “Only”, and how many does it take to get to “Many”??
I’m not normally one of those. But what I saw was something else.
The MSM wouldn't even say that about the 600 fired over 36 hours.
Just having fun, but that hat backwards is a b*tch.
Actually, that’s the good news. Israel took out their launching sites.
Couple of days ago the pali’s launched over a hundred rockets at Israel.
So actually, eight is an ‘only’ number.
Sick stuff isn’t it. How our media loves our enemies.
Jennings at ABC always hated Israel with a passion. For that matter, he hated America too.
Amazon Book Review:
"Vastly Illuminating!" September 25, 2004
By Kat Bakhu
"I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
Individual chapters are included on the Patriot Act (I was persuaded that it is a GOOD thing); the democratic flip-flop on Iraq once G.W. Bush implemented what they agreed with Clinton needed to be done; the driving components of the current anti-war movement; as well as chapters on individual personalities who are major spokespeople of the Left. Horowitz covers a lot of ground, and he covers it concisely and clearly. Unholy Alliance is richly informative without ever being boring or plodding.
This book is so illuminating that I simply cannot do justice to it here. I love people who reason so clearly that they help me get my own reasoning clear. Horowitz is just that type of person! In the terrain of mindless clichés (no-blood-for-oil, etc.), he is a breath of real fresh air."

Unholy Alliance: Radical Islam and the American Left -by David Horowitz
Not all dissent is equal, and Americans whose actions are calculated to give aide and comfort to the butchers who murdered 3,000 innocent people on September 11, 2001 are not patriotic at all... they are, in fact, quite the opposite.

How about a video of a heads-up display superimposed on the ABC building? Followed by explosion.
