Refreshingly un-mushy.

Maybe State can fix that. Calling Condi (and Hillary).

Thank you President Bush. I hope Israel can finish the mission before 0bama takes office. 0bama will probably side with Hamas.

This may be the last unabashedly pro-Israel sentiment we hear from the White House in a very long time.

It’s sad that this type of unequivocal response has been missing the last few years of the Bush administration.

Arab foreign ministers said they would convene an emergency meeting in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday.

Let's see. Action began Saturday. Emergency meeting next Wednesday...why do I wonder if the Arab leaders are all that urgent about saving Hamas?

“We strongly condemn the repeated rocket and mortar attacks against Israel and hold Hamas responsible for breaking the cease-fire and for the renewal of violence there,” Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in a statement.

Hey Condi!

Did you ever hear of the Muslim "hudna"?

I'm still glad I voted for him twice.

It's a pity this Paulson fellow is feeding him crap economics and he is following it.

Wait till we get a few years of the messiah's reign. People will revise their view of Pres. Bush. And just who kept us from a terrorist attack for over seven years anyway? /s

Don’t worry. In 3 weeks, the Messiah will bring Israel and Hamas to the table and instant peace will break out!

The U.S. Should help Israel kill every Hamas and Hezbulla member. Thats what I would call support for Israel.

Hamas needs to be 100% totally wiped off the face of the planet. If Obama were POTUS I bet we’d be hearing a different song.

To Israel: keep up the good work!

Holy crud. The White House said WHAT?!?

Sounds like somebody at State was asleep at the switch and didn’t feed the standard “we deplore the violence on both sides, and urge Israel to show restraint” statement to the White House first.

People who are surprised, today, at how far to the left the MSM has drifted should have gotten the clue from their totally distorted, anti-Israel bias in reporting the Arab-Israeli conflict since 2000 when Yassir Arafat (TIME's Man of the Year) launched the 2nd intifada against Israel (although, in reality, it goes back all the way to 1948). The 2000 Intifada was not just an armed assault on Israel by Palestinian Arabs, it was also the beginning of a new Propaganda war, the likes of which had not been seen since Nazi Germany.

Talking Arab heads were dispatched to every news outlet in the country after repeated coaching to say the words, "occupation,""aggression," and "Israeli," at least once in every sentence.

Even the fledgling Fox News service were sucked into providing a national audience for the PPP, the Palestinian Parrots of Propaganda. Eventually, Fox News got a clue, and stopped having them come on by themselves, by providing what was supposed to be equal time for Israeli spokesmen, but would always degenerate into the PPP talking over them, time after time.

Meanwhile, our Leftist State Department had been treating Israel much like the PPP, with folks like Condi Rice viewing the conflict as a civil rights issue and likened the Palestinian terrorists to the slaves of the 1860's.

NOW, finally, as he gete set to leave the White house, Bush gets one thing right, but that won't make up for all the times that he handicapped Israel's ability to defend herself, by incessantly pushing the "two-state" solution to Israel's destruction, and by being the first sitting President to call Israel's possession of their own land, an "occupation."

Meanwhile, Bambi has been a Hamas supporter and funder for decades. Lost on most of Americans is the significance of Bambi's "tough talk about Al-Qaeda." Bambi is a Shia Muslim. Hamas are Shia Muslims. Yet, Al-Qaeda are Sunni Muslims. If Al-Qaeda were Shia, Bambi would not have said, "Boo," about them.
