"After an outcry from the White House and conservative bloggers who claimed that the report had been based on falsified documents, CBS retracted the story, saying that the documents' authenticity could not be verified. Rather, who had been with CBS for decades and was one of the most familiar faces in American journalism, was fired by the network the day after the 2004 election."

After you read this, then read it again, you ask: I thought Rather brought suit against CBS? Therefore, why is Bush scared?
Of course, the article did little to entighten the reader about how false Rather's reporting was. How Rather had handwriting experts to 'authenticate' an obvious fraud that used a computer, and computer fonts that didn't even exist, when the memo 'was written.'

More revisionist nonsense. Like the minions on the Internet these days dutifully telling everyone who will listen that Joe Biden is not and was never a plagiarist.

Rather’s lawsuit is more about CBS giving him the boot than his bogus story which is based on documents that have clearly been shown to be crap.
As for the Bush legacy. He liberated 60 million people more than any leader since Churchill and Roosevelt. That is more important than Dan Rather’s fantasies.

The charges outlined in Rather's lawsuit will cast a further shadow over the Bush legacy." The only shadows those charges will be casting is over a photocopier at an Abilene Kinkos.

Ol' Dan just needs to die off already. A useful tool of the Left is no longer needed and he seems to be the only one that doesn't realize that.
His tombstone can read:Dan Rather - such a good journalist that not only did he report the news, he also made it (up).

Hey Dan, maybe you and “Bela” Bugliosi could get together and write a book about that horrible George Bush, and really stick your fingers in President Bush’s eyes! You two losers belong together.
I’m with you, pillut48, President Bush isn’t going to lose any sleep over this.
To: pillut48
Dan, aren't you busy these days kissing America-hating Mark Cuban's gold plated a$$?
You must be good at it since ole Cube is paying you to work for the black hole tv channel known as HD Net.

Seems to me in order to prove he was unjustly kicked to the curb, he’ll have to continue to dispute that story which we all know was based on crap. There are plenty of people out there just looking for a reason to believe him.

Among those CBS considered for the panel to investigate Rather's report were far-right broadcasters Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter I do not know what Dan is smoking but I am sure it is high quality weed, with perhaps a heavy dusting of PCP. :0

Dan Rather should have remained the sleeping dog who lied. His lawsuit is going to remind everyone once again of the extent of his incompetence.
