Brilliant: You may not be so brilliant after all. I keep seeing this repeated over and over on this thread. If it were only that simple, that we could pick and choose whomever we want to welcome into our political party.

Again, I'm going to ask: How are you ever going to get sufficient numbers to win an election?

I don't think those who advocate getting rid of someone they consider not pure enough, do not think through their position.

Is this position of the chairman stupid? Yup. It shows his ignorance of the origination of the phrase. Ignore it.

By appealing to the people who want to vote for Conservatives but have been run off by the Leftward tilt to the Party. These are the same folk that elected Reagan and both Bushes, though they have been dwindling over time as a result of the lack of difference in the Parties.

No one's advocating getting rid of someone bcause they're "not pure enough." We're advocating getting rid of the people who don't subscribe to what should be the common core beliefs of the Republican Party. There is room for disagreement, but not on the core principles. That's why they're called core principles.

Look at Democrats. They all believe in more government spending--their internal debates are on how to spend more, not whether or not to spend more. Republican internal debates are no longer about how to reduce the size of government, they're about whether or not we should even bother trying.

The RINOs have to go. Ideologically they are in line with Democrats, and they prefer working with Democrats more than they do with Republicans. They should go become Democrats.

Us Republicans who are still conservative will then get to work doing what Reagan did: convincing people that we are correct.

Simple, force the switching of positions in the party, conservatives make all policy and decisions, RINOs contribute lots of money and have NO say whatsoever. If the RINOs don't like it, they can go join the Rat party and have NO say whatsoever.

The best hope for America is the complete destruction of the Republican party, and the sooner the better.

Sorry, but the Big Tent approach just had its poster boy at the top of the ticket, and it was an abysmal failure. It amazes me to go through an election like we just saw, and then have these guys pop up talking about how we need to dilute our principles even MORE! Colin Powell and his ilk, who did what? Endorse Obama.

It does not work and it will NEVER work because a Big Tent GOP really doesn't stand for ANYTHING. Do you think Reagan won 49 states because all the masses agreed with his principles? NO. Democrats voted for him in droves because one of the few things the masses reliably recognize and will vote for is leadership executed with passion and conviction, no matter the underlying policy. THAT is why Reagan was so popular. He was STRONG. Big Tent Republicanism cannot possibly be strong; one cancels out the other.

CGG, RINOism is the DOMINANT force in the GOP.

So why should we support a bunch of losers?

I can no longer ignore the willful spinelessness, cluelessness, weakness, indifference, and cowardice of the GOP.

Sarah Palin is their best hope for 2012, but they are too busy trying to help in her destruction to realize it.

You cannot fix this level of stupidity. The GOP is not the home of conservatives.

They will be absorbed by the Democrats if they continue in this direction, and they will be happy for that to happen.

The GOP has nothing, and I mean nothing to offer anyone—they are content to be Democrat lite, and McCain as their candidate showed it. That Duncan could even make the statement echoing the media driven complaint that the GOP has to reach out to survive shows the level of infection to which RINOism has developed.

It can no longer be ignored. Had we won this election, we could have broken the back of the Dem party for good. Thanks to RINOism, we will all suffer over the next four years for their lack of fight.

See Minnesota’s senatorial election—that is the future of the GOP—with rampant vote fraud stealing state after state.

We don’t need to kick the RINO’s out of the party, just out of leadership positions.
