The chairman of the Republican National Committee said he was "appalled" by a song called "Barack the Magic Negro" on a CD distributed by one of his political rivals.
"The 2008 election was a wake-up call for Republicans to reach out and bring more people into our party," RNC Chairman Mike Duncan said in a statement reported Saturday afternoon by Politico.
"I am shocked and appalled that anyone would think this is appropriate, as it clearly does not move us in the right direction."
Chip Saltsman sent RNC members the parody CD "We Hate the USA" for Christmas, which includes the controversial tune. He defended his decision Friday, telling CNN the song was clearly intended as a joke.
"I think most people recognize political satire when they see it," Saltsman told CNN. "I think RNC members understand that."

The Republican Party has been taken over by the “reach across the aisle and let Nancy and Company break your arm” RINO’s. If the RNC has to become the DNC and us have essentially a one-party system - count me out.
This bunch of McCain RINO’s can’t read the tea leaves right. . can’t see what is right before their eyes. If Governor Palin hadn’t run and Lieberman had run (again) as V.P., McCain would have enjoyed a blood letting - which now, I almost wish he had.

How are you ever going to get sufficient numbers to win an election?By appealing to the people who want to vote for Conservatives but have been run off by the Leftward tilt to the Party. These are the same folk that elected Reagan and both Bushes, though they have been dwindling over time as a result of the lack of difference in the Parties.

I don't think those who advocate getting rid of someone they consider not pure enough, do not think through their position.
No one's advocating getting rid of someone bcause they're "not pure enough." We're advocating getting rid of the people who don't subscribe to what should be the common core beliefs of the Republican Party. There is room for disagreement, but not on the core principles. That's why they're called core principles.
Look at Democrats. They all believe in more government spending--their internal debates are on how to spend more, not whether or not to spend more. Republican internal debates are no longer about how to reduce the size of government, they're about whether or not we should even bother trying.
The RINOs have to go. Ideologically they are in line with Democrats, and they prefer working with Democrats more than they do with Republicans. They should go become Democrats.
Us Republicans who are still conservative will then get to work doing what Reagan did: convincing people that we are correct.

Where was all the outrage when Sarah was being called “White Trash” and a “Nazi sympathizer.” The RNC never came to her defense but they are outraged by this song, give me a break!! I actually heard idiots say that “hockey mom” was a code word for white, it’s a song, get over it, it’s no big deal. This is why the RNC is in so much trouble, they are scared to insult anyone on the left, yet the left insult us everyday and nothing is done

I read the whole article, including the long whine of Peter Yarrow, author of "Puff, the Magic Dragon," for Peter, Paul and Mary. While quoting Yarrow's outrage, somehow the reporter failed to mention that Yarrow's moral compass included a conviction of sexual abuse against a 14-year-old girl.
He served time, and was later pardoned by President Jimmy Carter. Some standard of conduct.

I so agree! There isn’t much difference between the Democratic Party and the current Republican Party. We need a true conservative party.
