Obama Get’s Lukewarm Reception at Marine Base (No Cheering and clapping, just SILENCE)
Macsmind ^ | 12-26-08 | Macranger

President-elect Obama stopped by the Marine Corps base in Hawaii Kaneche Bay where servicemen and -women were eating Christmas dinner in Kailua Thursday evening. As Obama entered the room, it was absent of the regular fanfare of cheering and clapping. The diners were polite, staying seated at their respective tables and waited for the president-elect to come to them to stand up.

This will eat zero's innards.

His ego is incapable of rejection ... certainly the rejection by his military.

My inside skinny says they all reject him .. (all being a little exagerated .... but not by much).

"President-elect Obama stopped by the Marine Corps base in Hawaii Kaneche Bay...."

That would be "Kaneohe" not "Kaneche" Bay.

As sickened as I am with having Hussein as our POTUS, I cannot even imagine how our brave men and women feel now, with having their CIC be this guy, after 8 years of President W giving them the love and honor they so deserve. If this story is really true, about how they didn’t applaud or even stand when Osama entered their mess hall, God help us with the morale dip we will all feel in the next four years.

Again, as I’ve said in other posts, our family is an “Osama-free” zone. The name that will not be spoken — the voice that will not be heard. (I homeschool so I can control this better.)

Compare to ‘Starship Troopers’ by Robert Heinlein.

I’ve been watching science fiction come to life all my life...

"His ego is incapable of rejection ... certainly the rejection by his military.

Those who assaulted Fallujah, survived the bombardments at Pleiku, persevered at the Frozen Chosin, or raised a flag on Mount Suribachi are not going to be intimidated or impressed by a Chicago street thug.

‘..It’s gonna irk my guts to hear that played, as well as seeing him boarding Air Force One over the coming years..’

I will continue to switch stations or mute TV when Mr Obama is on....which will probably be 24x7.....radio and FR will be on a lot in my house.

I can’t bear to hear/watch this guy. Someone asked me if I won’t give him a chance.....nope! I don’t trust him ...how can I give him a chance if I don’t believe most of what he spouts.

“And I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honorable option. But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren't engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue.”

That's a curious lie....
I joined the Marines in November 1979 right after Ayatollah Khomeini's Islamic extremists attacked our embassy in Tehran and took over 50 hostages, which they ended up holding for 444 days. Believe me, those were anxious times, and no way did Zero not understand that.

What's to cheer and clap about? This parvenu has been nowhere and done nothing. He was even too chickensh*t to join the military himself. Our troops are way too good for the likes of Obama. He doesn't deserve their applause until he earns it.

This should really get the nutroots in an uproar. Remember when Kerry ate alone in Iraq and they went wild trying to compare photos of tablecloths and flags on walls to somehow show the photos were fake etc etc?

I loved that photo of Kerry; it was almost as good as the picture of Hillary! visiting Iraq (sorry, not sure, it could have been Afghanistan). The soldier she was shaking hands with clearly had the fingers of his other hand crossed. That's a signal that the picture was being taken "under duress".

Here's a link to the picture and the blog entry about it: Hillary! photo=op

I recently saw a documentary on Chavez’s rise and control of Venesuala. Barry’s path is too similar and scary.

Having served through both the Carter years and the Clinton years, I know what these poor guys are thinking.

I'm surprised they weren't weeping.

ut...but...but...they all cheered like mad when he played b-ball for them!

They didn't think he was going to really win either.

There seems to be plenty of those people, doesn’t there?”

Boy howdy! Everyone from wall street bankers to illegal aliens.

Well, we had that for eight years with the “Bobbsey Twins” (the dual Presidency of the Clintons) - and we somehow survived

actually, if you've forgotten, we got 9/11... which was after the 93 bombing, OKC, TWA800, USS Cole, and numerous embassy bombings. since 9/11 ... nothing (thank goodness because the next incremental step in that progression is very bad)

i'm just going to stand out of the way and let the libs fall on their face. they have depended on the folks on the right to do what we always do and that is fix things. be it with the economy or via the military. this time, i won't help them. let's see how well they do when they have to depend on their base...

I’ll bet the presumptive POS in Chief ...

Is POR an abbreviation for "President of Something"? That and "Piece of Manure" are the only polite phrases I can find for this lying ineligible pretend president that we're about to suffer through.
