NEW HAVEN, CT - In an effort to recognize the diverse traditions of the holiday season, the City has installed a Festivus pole in the Market Street square. A dedication ceremony is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The only reason for the Season is the Birth of Christ and it has been co-opt by every other group so diverse it has become that it holds no meaning for the actual reason for the season in the article they list “and an x-mas tree.” They have forgotten about Christ as so many have.
