This will NEVER get the press it deserves. Congress will have no hearings or demand they drive (in Chevy Cobalts) to D.C. for hearings.

Onaway Michigan is not on-the-way to anywhere. It is about an hour off the road that leads up to Mackinac and three hours away from the nearest UAW plant in Saginaw.
It is around the first knuckle of the index finger of the mitten, in the middle of nowhere. Somebody made a pretty penny on this real estate. I wonder who?

$27-Million UAW-Owned Country Club Includes Golf Course, Condos, Swimming Pools Monday, December 22, 2008Do not worry about labor union country clubs. My Dad, a rank-and-file union member did not have a prayer's chance of using, or even knowing that the union had such a place! The club was for the exclusive use of the union bosses, their friends, and VIPs (elected officials, families, and friends). Never mind the fact that the union dues of my father and countless other rank-and-file members paid for the facility as well as the campaigns of the leftist Democrats.
Of course you will be told (and shown) that the club is open to anyone with the money to pay for the drinks and facility use.

I’m not surprised about this. The UAW leadership only cares about themselves. As long as that money keeps coming in, they don’t care one bit about the workers.

FOX & friends just did a piece on the UAW's golf club. And before that had on a guy from GM who mentioned that the $700 bonus checks some folks were getting were UAW payment to certain retirees that had been negotiated in the last contract. The GM guy tried to make it sound like the money wasn't coming out of GM's hide. Snort.
