Yep. At the next PTA conference ask your teacher if he or she belongs to the teachers association. Be brave.

Isn’t it against the law to contribute that much money to a political cause?

YES! We are in a cultural war for the hearts and minds of our children and for their future.

Excellent.
Thanks for posting this!

Now someone needs to get busy identifying specific businesses to boycott.

This is good!

Pacific Gas And Electric Company -- Oppose $250,000.00 -- Paging the PUC
Michael Huffington -- Oppose $100,000.00 -- Former Republican candidate for US Senate
Sergey Brin -- Oppose $100,000.00 -- Google that
Jerry Yang -- Oppose -- $15,000.00 -- Sort of gives a new meaning to Yahoo!!!

Interesting to note that no other member of the Google board contributed to Prop 8 (including Larry Page). Nor was there a Google corporate contribution. This suggests that Sergey was contributing for them all.

“...Now someone needs to get busy identifying specific businesses to boycott.”

How about a statewide “Public School Sick Day”. Everyone could pull their kids for a day stating “We're sick...sick of your indoctrination of our children and seeing where our tax dollars are being contributed (example Opposition to Prop 8). My child won't be attending today.” For every day a child misses school, the school loses between $30 and $40 which could really add up if a million+ kids don't show up for school for the day.

Better yet, just yank them permanently.

Sadly, for a lot of “parents” public schools represent little more than “free” daycare. As long as they fulfill that essential function, ain’t nuthin’ gonna change.

I actually think civil unions are okay. Not crazy about them but I think they are okay.
