No worries, they'll make up the number leaving by immigration.

California liberals drove me out. I haven't regretted leaving - the state is a mess and is circling the drain.

Most of the blue states are in very similar situations both politically and economically. I’m now more concerned about the entire U.S. soon becoming a third world banana republic with no end in sight. Both the Fairness Doctrine and amnesty for illegal immigrants will profoundly suppress U.S. conservatism for a very long time, if not forever. A serious and successful civil war throughout the U.S. would bring conservatism back to life big time.

I think it’s just about time to undock Texas from the fast-sinking Federal ship.

As a Texan stuck in California, I hope that you succeed.
Texas is the non-California.

So - logically thinking...if the obamaites hate the rich, and think the rich should pay more taxes, and everyone in california is so rich that the housing prices keeps the "little people" out, then why to californians so in love with obama and the left...they are essentially the "target" he has identified to exploit?
Liberalism IS a mental disease...first goes logic and common sense, and then they vote for democRATS.

Amazing, eh? Like the UK, such a hip and trendy place, with all the right, cool, fashionable ideas... None of that old-fashioned, religious crap... and yet the people are moving out. I haven’t been to California in decades, but I have noticed the UK. In theory, with all their advanced, fair, cross-dressing, gay, trans-gendered, animal-protecting, abortion-on-demand, politically correct legislation, at this point they should be the closest thing humanly possible to Shangrilà.
Well, at least the Brits have the lousy weather as an excuse, but California of California Dreamin’?
So much for societies legislating their way to bliss.

Don’t blame the politicians. They are thieves.
It’s the poeple who continue to vote for them who are the idiots.

Not to mention that most of them are high wage earners who can afford to leave; Those who hold up the tax base and support the remainder of those dead-beats who are still moving in for a free ride.
California will soon drop like a fly in a Raid factory.

We should start a national program to renounce the debt.
If the world finds out that the hardcore 10% will not service any new government debt after such and such date, then the governments will have to pay higher rates to borrow due to risk default. Which , by the way, is going up for the US anyways.
Debts are taxes on future generations that didn't vote, and did not get the jobs or services.
Young people are seriously screwed.
Schools that are worse for them then no schools at all.
Soon to be paying the pensions, SS, Medicare of us old people that they will never get.
Soldiers and prostitutes are their future. Another option is the Atlas Shrugged, which is happening now. As people retract from the economy, willingly or not, the turn over in sales slows down and money doesn't come into the gasping maw of the state. Ditto hours worked, decreased property values. On the other end, more people are collecting from the gunpoint schemes of unemployment taxes, and various assistance that the lovely state has promised. So, less in, more out, more borrow. Seeing this, the government has decided to.....borrow yet more, to get us out of our crippling debt. Debt is the critical point. Lastly, we may not have to do anything at all. After all this we may finally get our Dictator, our 'Lincoln'.

This is a trend that's happening in other areas of the country as well. The Northeast has been on the losing end as many long time resident taxpayers are leaving for greener pastures to be replaced primarily by immigrants many who are illegal with little education or work skills. This out migration matters little when you look at the numbers for any given year but if this trend continues for a significant period of time you can't help but have an erosion of the tax base combined with the additional strain on governmental services entailed with a large immigrant population. This process feeds on itself. As more and more immigrants enter, more and more long time residents leave, taking their incomes with them. It's my opinion that generous social benefits, i.e. medicaid, wic, food stamps, welfare act as a magnet drawing in immigrants.

I love the phrase “international immigration”!! Must be a new LA Times description for illegals.
