Thanks for the link! I just wish it didn’t buffer sooooo often! LOL!
They were wonderful speeches from two gracious people. I will
miss them so much!
JMO, her body is a little too long or out of proportion. I can’t put my finger on it.
I'm sorry I wasn't better company tonight, lol.
I checked and my computer said it doesn't need to be de-fragged, so I think I'll try uninstalling Firefox 3, see if that helps.
Have a great weekend :) Merry Christmas!
I think it’s her face ... wrong shape.
She’s much prettier and more symmetrical there.
I love his ... it’s really real.
LOL I thought I was bad company because I've been playing bingo and watching Shawshank Redemption.
My work computer always lies and says it doesn't need to be defragged. I miss the old defrag that was little colored boxes. When I moved I had to get a new computer and it has Vista. The defrag is totally gone! It does it automatically once month or week or something, but there is no visualization at all. :-(
Merry Christmas! You have a great weekend, too! :-D
(((Jonny)))
I can’t put my finger on it. It’s just “off”. It’s not a bad painting by any stretch of the imagination. IMO, it’s just that his portrait is so spot on.
Uh-oh pain meds? Hope you’re feeling OK.
I think the President and the First Lady look wonderful in their portraits. May God Bless them , and may God Bless America!
Thank you for asking. back problems. Looking into alternative for back surgury.
It's as if the artist thought he should somehow glamorize Laura, so it looks awkward. The core of her beauty is her eyes, with no need to try and make her look younger. Yet, it seems like the artist felt he needed to make it look like an 'essense' rather than the down-to-earth, natural glow which is her trademark.
Her chin and neck look unnatural, but her hair looks good.
It's very difficult and tricky sometimes to capture older women without it looking like flattery. Very young women and very old women are much easier to draw and paint than middle aged women.
Thanks for the dose I was too tired last night to come on line added to that I cannot find my glasses.
I put them on the chair and then put my quilt over me and I think caught my glasses with it and they have gone somewhere in the room.
So I am wearing my sun glasses, hopefully Phil can help me search tomorrow for them.
I like the photos of the VP he looks happy and relaxed.
They are special photos and saddens me that the dreadful things said about the VP when you see photos like that.
Interesting you say tears in the eyes maybe it is the fact I am wearing sun glasses but I felt deep sincere looks of gratitude aimed towards the President and also a relaxed and happy pose. Maybe a sense of a job well done or done to the best that he and the President could do under such circumstances they have faced over the last 8 years.
Off to the hospital now to see dad I have rung and he is in the chair so no doubt will be experiencing problems with his back.
I think the portraits really capture their personalities....I get the feeling Laura is more reserved than her husband and he is the carefree I would rather not wear a tie kind of guy......I hope the first couple like them
silent_jonny: THANK YOU for yet another AWESOME DOSE — I just love your featured photo of our wonderful First Couple (sniff!)!!

BUSH THE UNION BUSTER
by Bill Dupray in: Capitalism, Congress, Conservatives, Economy
Looks like Bush has handed a last minute victory to Conservatives and Free Marketeers on his way out the door. The key provision of the $17 Billion bailout for the automakers is that union wages must be lowered to match the non-union wages of U.S.-based foreign car companies.

PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH VISITS AEI
On Thursday, December 18, one month before he is to leave office, President George W. Bush visited AEI for a candid, informal conversation about the institution of the presidency with a special focus on his domestic policy initiatives. The subjects ranged from judicial appointees to education reform and from prescription drugs to immigration.

Post 28 - Absolutely beautiful and utterly perfect.
I hope you find something that works for you. I’ve had to take major pain meds at various times and hated them.
The Vicodin was alright. One night I accidentally took two. Every time I closed my eyes, in my mind’s eye I would see burglers crawling up the side of my condo building trying to break in. Not regular buglers, but ones from old cartoon dressed in striped shirts, black eye masks (like the Lone Ranger), and big sacks with dollar signs on them. LOLOLOL Even at the time I knew it was dumb, but any little sound I thought, “Burglers!!” I was very happy when they wore off and I stopped taking them after that.
