I voted YES on Prop 8 so I guess when we vote for something in this state, it’s meaningless. Hey let’s just throw the whole constitution out the window since it’s meaningless anyway right. Am I living in a cartoon or is my country going down the toilet

We've reached a point in this country where every American must do some serious soul searching. My opinion on this subject is that I have always been a law-abiding citizen because I have respected the idea that the law is an extension of the will of the people, even when I don't agree with a particular law. However, the very moment when I no longer have even the least amount of say in how my own government governs because that government has decided that I am a subject rather than a citizen, I will no longer consider the government to be legitimate. What to do with an illegitimate government is, of course, a question to be discussed in private, but we have a proud history in this country to guide us, and an obligation to carry on a fight that was begun by our forefathers.

This is essentially Tidy Bowl nation. The Constitution is that little blue thing on the side of the bowl that the left only uses when it suits them. Other than that, it has mostly gone down the drain.

You’re living in California which is pretty close to a cartoon.
