WASHINGTON, (AP) -- Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy has rejected two more efforts to get the court to consider whether President-elect Barack Obama is eligible to take office.

Kennedy on Wednesday denied without comment an appeal by Philip J. Berg, a Pennsylvania attorney, that claims Obama is either a citizen of Kenya or Indonesia and is ineligible to be president . . .

I know how politics work. I know how the Presidential elections work and how the Electoral College voting works. That tells me that you have “fellow travelers” or you don’t get people elected... LOL...

Now, if we’re talking about absolute righteousness in government (and not relative morals), then I know that the Bible has told me that it doesn’t reside in mankind and neither will it be accomplished on this earth — until Jesus Christ sets up His Kingdom on this earth, in Israel, ruling and reigning over the nations (including the U.S., at which time I don’t know if we’ll even have a President, here).

That time is coming soon and I expect to be seeing it, along with a lot of you others seeing it happen, too. But, in the meantime, you don’t get anything done in politics without those so-called “fellow travelers” to get the votes and to get the legislators in office...

Not Obama’s job. Guess you missed it, but he’s already been officially designated by the Electoral College now as the next president. Since you can’t find a court in the land to hear this, at some point you might consider there is no ground for making the case.

Um, I think that is the definition of “plaintiff,” i.e., someone who brings a charge based on evidence.

I see it differently. The cases that have thus far came before the SCOTUS in conference have to do with putting the responsibility for vetting the candidates in the lap of the individual SoS of each state. IMO this is unreasonable as each Sos would have to verify each candidate for each office. The task would be next to impossible.

OTOH if the burden is put upon the candidate/party to prove their eligibility, than the Berg/Keyes cases seem to have more merit.

I'm sure the SCOTUS is weighing who is responsible for vetting in the future as much as whether BO is guilty of fraud now.

It has no bearing at this point in time. At the time Obama is sworn in, the cases are moot and the Supreme Court will dismiss them on that basis...

Well, being that the cases would be moot after Obama is sworn in, and since no one can “make a case” against Obama, Congress will be doing nothing, because there is *no case* to be made...

I hope, by now, that it’s clear that the states having a vetting process is the answer to not having this happen in the future.

If this concerned a Republican president-elect there would have already been riots in the street demanding the release of the “REAL” birth certificate. We know really well how that leftist double-standard works.

Or, there could genuinely be nothing to this stuff, as many of us have said for some time. Nahh, that couldn’t be it. USSC has to be corrupt.

If there is nothing to it, then have the case presented, argued, evidence shown for and against (including certified vault copy from Hawaii of his long form Birth Certificate) and then put the mater to rest. Doing this would be good for Obama... unless, it disqualifies him. Not doing it says he is guilty and the justices basically admit he is, but they are afraid of the mobs.
