Urgent, just reported: Al-Zaidi in U.S. run Camp Cropper prisonIraqi TV al-Sharqiya just reported on the news that AL-Zaidi is transferred to Camp Cropper prison [the Airport prison, managed by the American forces].
The TV Channel announced that Al-Zaidi is in a difficult condition, with broken ribs and signs of tortures on his thighs. Also he can not move his right arm.
Depends. Do I have a shot at a Nigerian princess? ;)
Algore’s new network, always the first for breaking Arab propganda ‘news’!

It’s okay, he throws like a girl anyhow.

I'm with you, but not with more torture as something like this does not warrant it. Now with Saddam, he'd be a goner.
Bush handled it very well; I was proud of him for that, but it will probably be misinterpreted by different cultures as wimpish or however they see things.
There might be some rare cases where I might justify some torture, but I really would rather we not engage in it, but sometimes feel fury when innocents are made to suffer horrendously.
I've not read yet if he lost family members in the war or what his motive was; obviously I don't condone what he did by any stretch, just glad it wasn't some explosive. Could have been a lot lot worse.
I hope they make sure no ribs go unbroken.
Make him earn his liberal stripes!
Oh, if he does have injuries, they could be a result of the struggle with those who had to get him out of there, at least in part.
The shoe fetish guy was taken prisoner by Iraqi authorities before being transferred to US control so it would be deemed more likely that any injuries occurred as a result of his slipping in his stocking feet several times due to Iraqi negligence.

I so agree!
the mideast won’t care...but it sure would take the wind out of his Martyr Sails! ha.
The “idiots” are local Iraqis who are performing the deed, even if the location is managed by the US.
Iraqi law is different from US law. I say let them proceed.
Oh well........such is life.
“Have you ever done business with arabs? Don’t turn your back on them or you’ll end up with a 7 inch knife in your back...”
Or as a Jewish friend of mine said: “If you have an Arab for a friend, you don’t need an enemy.”
Hey who cares - he showed complete disrespect for our President and our country....obviously someone paid this a$$hole to do that - and if he has to pay, then he has to pay!!!!
I thought that all happened in the press room when the other reporters beat him up.
Ehh...he will live, it is in our interests for the man not to be killed or particularly maimed, if he has a few bumps and bruises from his initial detention, that cannot really be helped.
I’d be more concerned about the reporter (and future NYT prospect) being snuffed out when he is released.
Bah! She’s cute! Even more so when she’s being a dork. ;)
Oh, darn, torture going on and I’m not there to inflict it.
