Seriously, I miss National Lampoon. I graduated to Lampoon from Mad Magazine when I entered high school. It made me cool enough to hang around with the boys. I loved Animal House before it was a movie....back when it was just a special edition I got for renewing my subscription. I cried when Doug Kenney died...okay, maybe not cried, but I got really sad for most of the afternoon. Now I am glad Doug didn't live to see this.

This type of manipulation is fairly common and they deserve all the bad karma they are getting. It would have been nice if one SEC auditor had driven to the small office of Bernie Maddof’s CPA in New City, NY to check the books.
The National Lampoon case is pretty small potatoes by comparison.

I cried when Doug Kenney died...okay, maybe not cried, but I got really sad for most of the afternoon. Supposedly he was devastated because he thought Caddyshack was a failure.
Now I am glad Doug didn't live to see this.
Too bad he didn't live to see what a huge success Caddyshack turned out to be. I don't think the current National Lampoon has much of a connection with the past, except for holding some assets.
