Because from the conversation you described it seemed the employee expected your aunt would also receive gifts from obama.

I weep for the future of our country.

I probably should, but for some reason I've been LMAO since the election.

The right to vote should be earned.

You mean like in Starship Troopers?

Well, yes.

I tend to alternate between the weeping and maniacal laughter.

My wife is REALLY starting to question my sanity.

The Rosa Parks wannabes love to reject the first table offered to them and sometimes reject the second table as well. They want to show they ain't going to the back of the bus. Then they agitate for free appetizers. Then they reject some of the food brought out as too hot, too cold, too different from the picture, etc. They don't want to pay and ask to speak with the manager over nothing. Finally they either under tip or do not tip at all.

I was a waitress in the early 90s and this was totally true then. If the last table on one's shift was the Rosa Parks crowd, most servers would leave it for the incoming shift - it just wasn't worth the effort. You could provide the most stellar service, the best food, tons of freebees, and they'd still bitch about everything and not leave a tip.

LOL,whatever. Entitled to your opinion, if only that was the case. I work full time in admin. Started in Nov. I WORK FOR AN AIR CONDITIONING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA. i have hundreds of contacts for contractors here and I have been working every one. None are hiring, all are laying off or holding steady. If he gets one of the jobs that are,as you say hiring, and he makes a good check, I WOULD do whatever, including quit my job, IF ONE WOULD OFFER HIM A JOB!To date, all those companies have NOT offered him a Job. Those 100 resumes only went to decent sized companies, out of the area after asking about all my contacts here. Man, you must think we are totally stupid. But since you know all about it, maybe YOU could point me to a HVAC company that IS hiring for 1500 per week LOL. LOL.LOL. Even union scale in NJ is 30 per hour for the total package. Pay is only about 24 pr hour.

He has spoken to a couple who are going to try to get him some work part time for now if possible. We used to own our own HVAC business in S. Florida until it collapsed due to NO WORK. My job is the only thing keeping food on the table right now and since prospects are so slim here, I won’t find other work if I quit my “part time job”,

Again, been there done that. a “big timer” just laid him off 6 weeks ago cause they did not get their hoped for contracts in our area. They were sick of paying 100 per DAY for him to travel to Miami and back each day for what work they did have. Don’t tell me the big guys are still hiring here. They have all left our area due to all the commercial boom empty buildings here. I am sure you are entitled to believe as you do, butI am not a whiny troll. Didn’t post what I did to be considered one.I sure don’t need your sympathy, or want it. I have never been late on a bill in 20 years, and I have still managed to stay that way up until now. I have tons of family I will work with, never took govt money, never will, we will rebound and get through it. Was just looking to vent on FR because the people here get it and people whining for handouts are retarded. It must be good to be in a place in your life where attacking those who share your belief system, believe in your value system is a luxury you can afford. Thanks for your prayers for others not so lucky. I hope compassion is something you can receive, for surely you can’t offer it. I again, do not want or need your pity. I come here to be among friends. Good day

My hope is that when money dosen’t fall from the sky, the moochers will be so ticked off and feel so betrayed that they don’t vote next election.

Buyers' remorse may set in with many voters, but some are so uninformed they believe anything. I almost hope they become the Jonestown USA crowd and drink the new poison.

If you’re a Christian, you have to remember that this is not our natural world, we’re here on a visa in enemy territory.

Treat it as such.

And what’s it supposed to mean . . . “I’m bad”?

My understanding of the origin of "my bad" is that it comes from street pick-up basketball games. When someone messes up on a play (passing to a teammate who wasn't ready for it, or players cutting the wrong way), the one at fault calls out "my bad", as in "that was my bad play" or "my fault".

So while it is a corruption of the language, it does at least express the positive sentiment of owning up to your own errors.

Your husband needs to go where the work is. There is still a backlog of post-hurricane rebuilding taking place all along the gulf from Galveston to Mobile and maybe even into Florida panhandle.

As I said in my very first post. We are looking to relocate to get to the work, not waiting for a job to come to us. I want my pie, but I know how to make it.....

Sorry if I wasn’t clear. That’s why my aunt was so dumbfounded and thought he was no serious. She called my that night and she knows I FReep (though she doesn’t understand it)
and just had to let me know how ignorant these people are.
I told her there are people expecting him to pay off their cars/mortgages etc. and when he don’t come through there is going to be hell to pay. These idiots really BELIEVE.

No need to relocate as these are not permanent jobs. Let your husband go out of town to work these jobs and in doing so he may find a permanent job so you can relocate if needed. When I was younger I would work out of town 6-8 months out of the year, payed unrepoted perdiem, nice write off on expenses come tax time and lots of money to be made. I know youngsters in their 20’s dragging down $100K plus per year becuase they are willing to travel to work. Why would you want to pull up roots if you have lived there most of your and kids life.. Chek out H B Zachery, Jacobs engineering and other big contractors, they have work all over the country and are alwways looking for experienced mechanics.
