No need to relocate as these are not permanent jobs. Let your husband go out of town to work these jobs and in doing so he may find a permanent job so you can relocate if needed. When I was younger I would work out of town 6-8 months out of the year, payed unrepoted perdiem, nice write off on expenses come tax time and lots of money to be made. I know youngsters in their 20’s dragging down $100K plus per year becuase they are willing to travel to work. Why would you want to pull up roots if you have lived there most of your and kids life.. Chek out H B Zachery, Jacobs engineering and other big contractors, they have work all over the country and are alwways looking for experienced mechanics.
Thank you eastforker, will look at the contacts you have suggested. We have only been here for 4 years, not whole life. Came here w/ brother in law and sister to start HVAC company, (Brother in law has family located here.) Hubby was going to go to Iraq for a year w/ large defense contractor as well, his disability (army/knee inj 40% compensatable) prevented their taking him.
This is why I posted on FR, usually there are some type of leads that people know on here that we can follow up with after exhausting all other known avenues. Not being whiny, but hoping for the 6 degrees of seperation theory to work.
Just an fyi, as administrator for this AC group, I work from home, my own hours, but do much running for the group to event plan and recruit members. Hence the reason i can post frequently, but cannot give up my car. Thank you again.
