does wal mart still sell 9 mm? I thought they were getting out of that business.
What else could he say and still be elected? Notice the "if he took office" -- is that actually a quote?
I’m getting a new mini-14 for Christmas, I can’t wait!
I checked the prices on Auction Arms and used prices
were higher.
“We can work together to enact common-sense laws, like closing the gun show loophole and improving our background check system, so that guns do not fall into the hands of terrorists or criminals.”
That is one of the dumbest statements I have ever heard anyone make.
People should teach themselves on how to make a firearm, almost everyone I meet think its inconceivable to make a firearm.
200 years ago it was difficult but it was done with primitive tools, nowadays its possible to build something that can exceed what most people need, like multiple barrels or even do it yourself caseles ammo, powders can be made for simple black powder and with some equipment even some smokeless.
Most people have made potato guns so the principle is there, we have seen shows like Mythbusters and an air powered cannon that would probably knock a car off the road.
And there is other alternatives especially those with electronics skills to build sound devices or microwave guns that can be used for home defense.
A shotgun is the easiest to make and the easiest to reload with basic powders even as simple as matchsticks.
Buying guns now or rather before the prices went up is like buying a rock solid investment plan, unless the gun is pure junk its value will increase if and when there becomes a scarcity, however much if times get tough don’t sell it, you may have to shoot your food when your children go hungry because the government ran out of money.
A week ago I bought every 223 round that our Wal-Mart had in stock. I guess I need to do that again tomorrow.
No guns here at W-Mart.
However,lots of ammo.

Short supply:: LOL, http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Browse.asp?Cat=979
Sounds like this is not the only show where this is happening.
I buy .223 and .357 at Wal-Mart because they still have the powest prices for ammo of any pplace in my area. But, I can tell you, the local one has very slim pickings.
I know people who are buying AR-15’s and 1911 pistols for the first time. They figure that they will later be able to get parts and ammo on the black market.
Things have changed greatly in the last few months - commodity prices for ammo-related items such as metals and oil have taken a nosedive down to levels not seen in years. And, the demand for ammo production for Iraq has probably eased. Yet now it looks like the looming "Obama crisis" has spurred a demand for ammo that will keep prices high despite the easing of the factors that originally caused the price spikes.
I'm not going to hold my breath and hope that prices come down anytime soon - rather I'm going to get a case of .38 special +P ammo for my recently-acquired J-frame S&W, and perhaps another case of .45 ACP, and I may even pre-buy ammo in some calibers for which I don't yet have any firearms (.223, .308, and maybe also 30-06). Not to mention reloading supplies (and I don't yet have any reloading equipment, although that's been on my wish list for a long time). And, that doesn't even include any consideration for stocking up on future "trading material". What was that Boy Scout motto again?
bump
What, no congressional investigation for price gouging?
Husband went to the local gun show today and ammo had doubled since the last show. Yesterday, they broke the attendance record.
The assault weapons ban will be reinacted and expanded upon. Thats why sales are up........
