Got out here 3 or 4 years ago. Only stock 12 and 20 gauge now.

Maybe Walmart should run a new ad: “We aren’t selling 9mm handguns anymore, because frankly, we don’t think they have enough stopping power”.

They closed some WalMart gun and Ammo sales in some states.

Our Huntsville store is going strong on both.

I thought they were getting out of that business.

The store nearest me in Southwestern Missouri does not stock handguns, they do stock a very limited section of shotguns, center fire and rim fire rifles.

Shotgun shells are displayed on the shelves, some rifle ammo under glass, but hand gun ammo is hidden. You have to ask.

Last week they had Winchester 40 S&W $28.75 per hundred.

In Springfield, Missouri gun show this weekend, no reports yet but I will go way out on a limb and say BUSY!

My local Walmart is supposedly the first in the nation to stop selling firearms more powerful than airsoft stuff.

They do stock shotgun target/field ammo on the shelves, but you have to request assistance to see the handgun and self-defense shot shells, which are kept locked below counter height. I’m sure that’s partly to dissuade shoplifting, but even more to avoid offending liberal sissies whose concept of the world doesn’t allow for *gasp* firearms *vapors* use by peaceable, law-abiding citizens.

After a panicked shopping spree of my own, I can attest to the wisdom of buying whatever I can of Walmart’s stock. Specialty sports stores are gouging like crazy. Walmart’s succombed to that, but not as much.
