Playboy has got into the Christmas spirit — by putting the Virgin Mary nude on its Mexican cover.

I’m offended by this, but this is not blasphemy.
Blasphemy is an offense against God. The Virgin Mary is not God (or a diety of any type.) Blasphemy can only be commited against the Father, Son, or Holy Spirit.
It is interesting people call this blasphemy, yet you hear the name of Jesus Chist used as a swear word regularly in public and on television. That really is Blasphemy, but it has become so common people don’t even object to it anymore.

Come on y’all, if the word Playboy wasn’t behind it, it could be considered a nice, art photograph. It is less nudity than one would see in many images of the Virgin Mary that are considered classical deceptions.
Probably not even named Mary(Maria.) Playboy's journalistic integrity takes a big hit.

It would be criminal for them to publish nude photos of someone posing as one of Mohammed’s brides.
Funny thing is, they don't have to do that anymore with today's Playboy playmates, if you get my meaning.

In an Absolut world, America would not have been a Pacific power. We would not of owned Hawaii (much less had a base there.) There would have been no Pearl Harbor attack (which pushed into WWII not only in the Pacific, but against Germany.) We would probably have never entered the war in the Pacific, and not gone to war against Germany until ‘43 or ‘44 instead of ‘41.
In an Absolut world, Imperial Japan would not have been defeated. It would dominate the Pacific rim today (including Korea and large parts of China.) We probably would have eventually defeated Hitler, but he war probably would have stretched on into the late ‘40s, and probably would have been ended by us dropping an atomic bomb on Germany.
I don’t like the Absolut world.

It is not the nudity (or lack thereof) which is the question.
Classical paintings of the Blessed Virgin Mary nursing her Son were painted to depict her motherhood and devotion, Playboys images are designed to sexualize her (and realize that Catholicism teaches that the Virgin Mary REMAINED a virgin and was therefore nonsexual). There is a huge difference.
Taking the Lord’s name in vain is blasphemy... and since the Virgin Mary is the Mother of Christ, and by her fiat He entered this world, and by her womb He received His flesh... then by that action Mary is co-redemtrix. To insult the Holy Mother of God, to wit: “the Mother of Jesus Christ” who is our Creator, is thus to blaspheme God Himself. So my accusation stands.
