The Blagojevich Scandal: Who Is Advisor B?
NRO ^ | December 11th | Byron York

Posted on 12/12/2008 5:49:29 AM PST by Halfmanhalfamazing

If you read the complaint, Advisor B, who is said to be based in Washington, is in the middle of just about everything. He — the complaint refers to Advisor B as "he" — is on the phone when Blagojevich discusses a variety of options, all of them corrupt, through which Blagojevich might profit from filling the Senate seat. The complaint says Advisor B was partial to the "three way option" involving the Service Employees International Union and its group Change to Win because such a deal would involve fewer Obama "fingerprints" than some of the other options being discussed.

There is a separate news article that I've seen in various places, here on FR too:

"Rahm Emanuel Reportedly Spoke with Blagojevich About Senate Seat"

We may be getting closer to the bottom here.

Rahm Emanuel is not “Advisor B” in the indictment.

Rahm Emanuel is “President-Elect Advisor.”

I don’t expect liberal activists cloaked as journalists to seek out the answer. Hopefully, the new media can find out.

He might be US Rep Bobby L Rush. I saw him on TV from DC saying the seat had to go to an African American.

Could be???

I thought Emanuel, but if not, I still think it’s someone close to Obama (My hunch comes from reading the complaint, specifically page 68).

Rahim may not be AdvisorB, but Obama certainly didn’t want to answer that question in yesterday’s press conference. Obama was asked in the second part of the two-part question who was AdvisorB? He answered the first part, and ducked the second, and I want to know why?

The President-Elect Advisor (supposedly Emmanuel) was contacted in reference to the 5th Cong. Dist. seat, which he previously held.

There was also a third D.C. advisor referenced in the complaint in addition to Advisor B and Pres.-Elect Advisor.

They were very active in D.C.

Good breakdown here:

In most conservative circles, someone who is aware of a crime before it is committed, becomes an “accessory before the fact”. He is equally guilty as the commiter. It seems like there are a lot of “accessories” in the Messiah's organization.

Is that picture for real? Is he really holding the receiver upside down or is it photoshopped? An inquiring mind would like to know. Thanks!

[December 5, the Chicago Tribune published an article reporting that Blagojevich was under surveillance. Blagojevich immediately stopped his efforts to sell the Senate seat and began to work on his legal defense.]

Another question that should be asked, aside from the details of the corruption, the pay-offs or promise of pay-offs and ALL the players involved is, why in the hell did the Chicago Tribune print the details of this undercover operation and how did they know he was being investigated?

I do not hear the howls of ‘leave no stone unturned in the pursuit of the truth’ that we heard from dems when Plame was “outed”. Where are all those unrelenting, inconsolable, unwavering, liberal/democratic ‘truth seekers’ that were shouting from every rooftop across the country for blood?

I want the truth and the whole truth - anyone involved, actively or passively should be indicted and prosecuted. Liberals felt it was appropriate to send Scooter Libby to prison for his obscure involvement in one of the biggest trumped up case of political payback in history, so where is their outrage and unwavering pursuit of truth & justice?

Hypocrisy? I think it rises far above that level, it is now a case of covering tushies and protecting the man they espoused was the “One” that would “change” politics forever, “change” we could believe in - I guess it is certainly is a change from the current administration but a throw back to the last administration.

I also want to know why there was a 3 week gap of calls/evidence being chronicled in the “complaint”. What was said & done and by whom during that time?

Where are all the investigative journalists now? MSNBC isn’t even running the story and many liberal obama newspapers aren’t covering it either. Perhaps they are still recovering from their trips & investigations up in Alaska or maybe they are too exhausted from trying to find any anti-Bush stories to run, in an attempt to distract people from Senate-gate!

If Blagojevich is removed as “unfit”, for mental problems, does that taint any evidence against others involved?
