Franken presents affidavits from 62 with rejected ballots

On the eve of a key State Canvassing Board meeting on the U.S. Senate race, Democrat Al Franken presented affidavits today from 62 Minnesotans who said their absentee ballots were improperly rejected.

With Franken behind in the official Senate recount, the affidavits were the latest attempt by the campaign to increase the pressure on the board to count absentee ballots that were improperly rejected. The affidavits followed the release of a web video Wednesday by the campaign that portrayed the stories of seven Minnesotans whose ballots were improperly rejected. A campaign spokesman said the video had been viewed more than 13,000 times on YouTube in less than 24 hours.

The five-member board is expected to address the issue Friday and the Franken campaign.

I thought he was denied the information on the identity of the tossed ballots. This is the same tactic they used in the WA Governors race 4 years ago. Of course they have the same guy running this recount that Gregoir had in WA 4 years ago.

Does anyone know the latest on the bag on military overseas ballots that was found in a warehouse and said to have been intentionally mishandled? Have those ballots be counted? They should favor Coleman heavily over the turd.

If Franken gets 62 affidavits, then go out and say you can get 150 affidavits from people who claim their Coleman ballots were rejected - reductio ad absurdum

What the hideously disgusting Franken doesn't seem to realize is Minnesota law states very clearly that absentee voting is a privilege, not a right. Everything has to be just so, or it is rejected. Every one of these "improperly" rejected were in fact rejected for a specific reason.

Don't want to have your vote subject to increased scrutiny and rules? Then show up at your local polling place on election day and cast a ballot. Short of that, make sure all stated requirements of absentee voting are met and you ballot is mailed in on time. Otherwise, STHU.
