I always find it amusing when Muslim’s claim the west wants them dead... if we did, we’d have nuked this little annual event long ago.

It’s a classic example of a scaling problem — a religion that requires its adherents to travel to a specific place at least once in their lives runs into problems when it grows to the point of including a billion people.

Similar sacrifices, marking the start of the Eid al- Adha, or Feast of the Sacrifice...commemorates a story celebrated by Muslims...in which God asked the prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son to prove his faith, but then in the end offered a sheep to kill instead...
Of course, according to the Koran, Abraham was about to sacrifice Ishmael NOT Isaac.
We have to recognise that Muslims still have a lot of devotion to their beliefs, something that has been lost in the Western world.
