Millions of Americans who may otherwise have voted for his opponent supported Barack Obama because he promised change. Obama was supposed to be the hope of something new and different -- a way to transcend the bitter and divisive partisan politics that swallowed the two previous presidential elections.
With the scandal involving Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, we already know the more things change the more they stay the same.
Barack Obama has not been officially inaugurated as our next president yet a scandal of epic proportions involves one of his close political allies, his own credibility and that of his main circle of confidants.
For those of us in the pro-life community, it confirms everything we already knew about the man who made one his first acts as a presidential candidate a promise to the nation's largest abortion business to be their lap dog. Some change.
If, after this scandal and the pro-abortion appointments he's made, you still think Obama will try to reduce abortions, I have a Senate seat to sell you.

Everyday Obama loses a bit of credibility.
Everyday he has to back pedal on campaign promises.
Everyday there is more revelations of his shadowy past.
And tomorrow it will continue.
And the day after, everyday.
Everyday for as long as it takes.
It won’t matter if he becomes dictator. Dissent will be met with gestapo.
Gestapo in the US? I wonder where they will get volunteers, I could think illegal immigrants, maybe enlisting at some prisons but honestly I think it would be impossible to form a true gestapo in America, its not like we can create a clone army.
And everyday more and more citizens are buying guns, they are buying assault rifles, its not like an angry crowd with pitchforks.
Half of Greece is on fire because one boy was shot, I can just imagine what America would do if a similar thing happened here, and frankly I hope it doesn’t happen.
Yes, Gestapo-like. As a country and a republic, we MUST be vigilant.
I don't want to give 'em any ideas on how, but devious minds with that goal in mind would find a way. Think about what Rahm said about what advantages come with crisis, then then about what kinds of crisis can be manufactured. Vigilance!
Volunteers?
Were you paying attention during the runup to the election?
There were PLENTY of volunteers out there willing to stifle dissent and intimidate people.
Buraq would have to have some sort of qualifying criteria in order to weed out some when too many applicants showed up.
Besides, he’s going to have his “obligatory volunteer” squad in order to get college loans, and they can cherry pick out of that group for his “Civilian Defense Corps”.
Hey, eventually all dictators are taken down. Mussolini, Lenin, Hitler.
I have yet to actually see these “brownshirts” strutzing around like something from a Kevin Costner apocalypse film.
That’s true but they tend to do tremendous damage before they fall and their ideology lives on forever. We never won WWII against the Nazis, there is a bit of Nazi everywhere. Most of the population devalues humanity every single day.
BTTT.
