Joe Wurzelbacher says he felt "dirty" after "seeing some of the things that take place" on the campaign trail.
'Joe the Plumber' told conservative radio host Glenn Beck on Tuesday that he felt "dirty" after hitting the campaign trail with Republican presidential nominee John McCain and "seeing some of the things that take place," Politico reported.

“Sounds like 90% of us.”
That is true, but somehow we just couldn’t come together and support the TRUE CONSRVATIVE candidate and that was Fred Thompson! Just my opinion.

I think it’s a cheap shot. Someone with class could demure on McCain, but still laud Sarah.

Not surprising that Joe was appalled by McCain. I was disappointed when McCain got the nomination, and McCain lived up to it. I thank McCain, though, for providing Sarah Palin a national forum. She is marvelous and hopefully will be a conservative force for many years going forward.

I can’t disagree in the least. If only Thompson’s contract with NBC let him get in the race before late September.

Not to be confrontational, just curious -
before he was the nominee, did you think McCain stood for the values you would like represented as the conservative POTUS?

I went to the link to see Joe’s words in context, and I have to agree with him.

from what I hear, most campaigns are like that, making you feel like you need a soapy shower and an exorcism.

I don't think it's a cheap shot if it's the truth.
The media said McCain was “going negative” for talking about Obama’s friends.
What's “negative” about the truth?
90% of our problem is that we don't have enough truth.

Yes, Joe the Plumber should hide what he really thinks. He should continue to hold his nose and 'settle' for who the GOP tells him to vote for. At best, he should have anonymously said some snide things and then hid behind some 'journalists'. Only Party Officials and democrats should be able to say what they want to say.

The value McCain represented to me was keeping a Marxist out of the White House. Me also. Other than that, I couldn't stand his value system or his take on most issues. I agreed with about 10% of his positions, but 100% on keeping our country from cliff diving into Marxism.
