.- A study by a group of experts in Spain has revealed that 80% of women who have had an abortion suffer symptoms of depression, while 40% have considered suicide.
The study, carried out by psychiatrist Carmen Gomez-Lavin of the University of Navarre, also uncovered other symptoms that affect women who suffer from Post-Abortion Syndrome. These include sexual dysfunction (40%), drug abuse, especially among adolescents (30%), behavioral changes (60%) or irritability (70%).
During the process and in the year that follows an abortion, the study indicates, the mortality rate of women who have undergone an abortion is between 3.5 and 6 times higher than that of women who give birth, mainly due to suicides, accidents and murders. The suicide rate is between 6 and 7 time higher than in women who give birth, the study finds.
It’s sad, but not surprising.
Prolife ping.
No it’s not surprising considering women go through some sort of depressed mood even after normal childbirth.
The hormones (and the mind) must really be messed up after an abortion.
Sis, RN,MSN quit her job several years ago because of the mental conditions of post-abortion women and teens who were forced on the staff at the clinic where she worked in MA.
What is also sad is that few young women will have this information before they make their “choice” to kill their child.
I knew a woman who really lost all touch with reality after her abortion (she aborted the baby because her boyfriend said he would marry her if she did). He never married her. She tried to get her life together afterwards, but sadly failed. What little self esteem she had disappeared. She became a streewalker and contracted AIDs. So true. So sad.
The 20% represents the percentage of the general population that is sociopathic and would brutalize a child at any age. It was confirmed in other recent studies that 1/5th of nationwide sampling are sociopathic.
The other 80% discovered the truth when it was far too late. The best thing we can do to stop the abortion industry is to spread the truth. Give out real medical information and present all options. If the movement is widespread enough, we could cut the number of abortions and grieving women by at least 50%.
I am amazed that this many actually might have something of a conscious. It is barely possible that killing the innocent may not be the panacea so many heartless young women seem to think of a procedure not even considered by barbarians of the ancient world.
They sort of forgot the Paul Harvey portion of the rest of the story.
The information is being controlled by those who wish to consume, cheat, and destroy.
Well, I can honestly say I know 3 women who had abortions as teens and all 3 have had some serious mental and drug problems later in life. I realize this is probably not the case with all women who have had one, but I’m just saying....
Meanwhile, in a study funded by Planned Parenthood, doctors at Johns Hopkins recently said the opposite. I wonder why.
The truth is, women are devasted by abortions, with physical as well as mental and spiritual consequences, but feminists refuse to admit how destructive they are—to the mothers as well as the aborted babies. And of course Planned Parenthood laughs all the way to the bank.
Everyone knows that killing an innocent child is abhorrent.
Some, though, are convinced by others’ lies that it is not a child and they go through with the procedure, and then they know exactly what they just did.
Something occurred to me today.
If Planned Parenthood is “pro-choice”,
is there any instance in which they would convince someone that it WASN’T a good idea to abort their baby?
Anyone that answers in the affirmative needs to be laughed at in their face.
It is a tragedy that this president's policies will increase the number of women getting abortion.
We need brave Republicans to speak out about this study:

The University of Navarre is about as top notch as you can get.
Hmm. Are we supposed to feel sorry for women who kill their own babies and then feel depressed about it? Screw ‘em.
You hit the null set there. Try again.
